World first QD-OLED monitor from Dell and Samsung (34 inch Ultrawide 175hz)

Very nice to see this topic losing traction ;) anyone still on board to buy it?
My thoughts exactly ;)

But really, too many issues guys, text is not clear, anti glare coating makes blacks grey, text not white but has purple and green in it, crappy aspect ratio etc etc.

Yup monitor has too many issues (the purple and green fringing does seem to be pretty obvious even in normal usage according to quite a few users now especially since it's been highlighted what to look for) and little to no stock. Can see why it is priced rather well/cheaply now. All that and with coming into warmer weather, not much point bothering now. Think Samsung's one will be better as well, at the very least on the price front anyway.

The motion quality at 175Hz is pure sex. It's brighter than I expected too. I keep it on HDR 1000 on desktop in Win 11.

Aesthetics on the desk too are much better than my PG32.

The red is awfully over tope in those amd looks like a red filter on almost all content but the gold.does look superb. The text is my big issue.

I'll have to ask permission to share the code I was given as don't think I'm going for it based on what seen now tbh. Needs more time to mature. Probably fine for a TV Though. Not for monitor tech.

Pretty much, obviously you have to take photos and videos with a pinch of salt but the parrot image is the best example of reds being overblown, the finer detail in the feathers is lost because of the saturation. It's weird as some say green is saturated for them more than the red... Could probably put up with the text issues but I can't stand one primary colour being stronger than the rest especially blue. Obviously could probably use some software to correct it or apply an ICC profile but then that's a faff and doesn't always work fully across applications, particularly games i.e. the ICC profile deactivates, saying that... I think there might be some software to lock ICC profiles so they always stay activated but again, more faff and more software to install just because dell CBA adding RGB controls....
