***World of Warcraft : Warlords of Draenor***

This may refresh your memory..

People need to stop with the "this is the worst launch ever". Even BC was more problematic than WoD a week in.

Even if it was (I cant particularly comment as I do not remember), the game has gone through 3 full expansions since then... Had they not learnt anything? Now going the other way, could they have predicted a 3 million (I think) increase in subscriptions? Only people at Blizz will know that.

As for the watchdog thing, its stupid... They have given 5 days playtime to ALL accounts, even those not affected, which, to be honest, is really good of them IMO

I asked this in guild chat and someone said Gladiator DPS is because of simcrafts patchwork fights, although in battlegrounds and dungeons if there's a gladiator they're usually always top for damage.

I'm playing Glad on live, it's basically the same rotation/style as MoP fury, just with different icons on the buttons. So not exactly insane to do on non-patchwerk fights.

pathetic, "oh noes, my 30p a day sub is beng wasted, waaaaa"

You're missing the point, it's not the lost time itself people were raging over it was the timing of it. Imagine if people bought a Sky Sports package for the world cup after sky advertised it to hell, then during the final games Sky Sports stopped working, you would have a lot of irate customers, it's the same thing.

Well as I hit 100 last night I should be able to get some better gear from all the new instances and gear myself towards heroics :) Failed on Silver Proving grounds this morning on wave 8/8

Jumped in MC briefly last night. Oh the horror of 40 people all trying to do their own thing :S

It really highlighted the change in style from when I did it in vanilla. Half the raid tried to jump down at the bridge and bypass the first set of mobs. And the others pulled loads to try and just aoe them down.

Suffice to say neither worked very well. Would love to get into a well organised run, it was one of my favorite raids back in vanilla.

Are DPS charts really worth paying attention to atm with no tier gear etc available yet?

I said (and I quote) "I'm not saying there weren't problems", to which you reply "if you had no issues at release". Is there even a point to putting down words that get misinterpreted a mere one post after they were written? :p

Not every server was the same at release and certainly Spinebreaker wasn't continuously terrible.

You are quite right, I am a gimp and am having an off day....Ugh

I would agree with this if the world cup games were repeated over and over and each one had no relevance on the last one. The game is not a one off that wont be repeatable and can be ruined by others.

Damage?

I did the Gold one second time round for damage with ilvl 595 ish gear. Wasn't too bad. Didn't realise first time that in wave 10 you have to burst it near enough all the way down before the shield goes back up.

Yeah, have to complete silver to do heroics apparently. I'll finish tonight, luckily don't have to do gold.

Have potions been changed now WoD's out? I was looking at buying some healing potions and a Super Healing Potion there heals 83 health whereas the ones I have in my bag heal 2,865. Some of the stats were weird for agility potions as well. Is this a bug?

I remember getting stuck mining nodes around Ironforge. Destruction Warlock is not great to play any more, in PVP you are a stationery turret with nothing to combat melee with. In PVE you are ok as long as you don't have to move. Not sure about other specs.

Except for the endless chain fearing that all Warlocks seem to be able to do, and their ridiculous survivability in PvP? Also, why are all casters now moaning about not being able to cast and move being a major issue? I was a main healer in Molten Core in Vanilla and Priests couldn't cast flash heal and move, only the instant casts like shield and renew. Moving whilst casting is wrong. It should never have been in the game anyway, it was giving casters a massively unfair advantage in both PvP and PvE. It is so much more sensible now.

A destro warlock has ONE dot which breaks fear. Thus on a melee you can fear and hope to get one spell out or put your dot up and stand still and hope the attacker is using a wireless keyboard and mouse and the battery's in both die.
I wasn't aware of moaning by other caster because I think they have at least one insta cast spell they can use that isn't limited to two charges.
The ball has swung the other way now and casters are just fodder for Rogues, feral druids, anything that can run around and damage basically. Although tbh that doesn't bother me too much as I despise PVP.
I'd love to know about this ridiculous survivability though as I'm yet to see it on anything other than healing classes.

If your analogy was used in every situation, no bad deed would ever go punished. Watchdog would have nothing to do. It has nothing to do with it costing 30p per day, it has everything to do with a lot of people having spent £35 or more on a new expansion and barely being able to play it properly on launch. I have such limited time to play these days but I'd still like the option to be able to log in and have a bit of time questing and sorting out my Garrison. As it stands, I haven't been able to do much with my Garrison at all, I only got it built on Sunday evening and that was the most amount of time I'd played since the launch last week, and it was only an hour and a half of game time. This week I've had about 45 minutes in total since Monday. I have to log into the game as soon as I get in from work, and if I eventually get logged in, I then have to keep moving my character just so that when I want to play at about 20:30 I can actually sit down and get some game time. That's even if my main can log in, because the Garrison "World Server Is Down" message seems to be the new WoW background for me at the moment, as well as many others. I haven't even got my alt past the portal yet, the servers crashed out whilst I was trying to get him started on the questing for that so there are still major stability issues plaguing the game.

As far as I'm concerned, I do care that I am paying and not able to play much. And it affects me more than most because of my limited time. I am sick of reading up posts on here and elsewhere from players that are logged in from 8am to midnight saying they have had absolutely no issues whatsoever. Just because they aren't, doesn't mean this isn't a major issue. Hell, on Wednesday night my server (Silvermoon) went down for at least an hour during peak time. That isn't acceptable tbh. I know they've compensated 5 days of gametime, which is admirable, but they are still having major issues and we're a week on from launch. I have sympathy for Blizzard, they have a hard task keeping everyone happy, but at the end of the day they should have seen this coming a mile off and have systems in place to deal with it. Surely they had the ability to track the pre-orders, see which accounts were active and which were returning, and then implement some methods for load-balancing and dealing with the influx of returning and existing players all trying to play at the same time?
