***World of Warcraft : Warlords of Draenor***

I honestly didnt realise he was Conan until I was doing the actual achieve with him, and thats despite looking at him on numerous occasions under the followers tab :o

Have you played Blizzards HotS? Sonya the female Barbarian from Diablo is in it and her emotes are awesome, she does the entire paryer to Crom at one point :D

Can someone help me with the followers? Everythings confusing me.

What's the main reason for them? Resources to increase garrison building levels?

By the time I reached level 100 I had 18/20 followers. Should I have picked them more carefully?

Do people just get the epic followers so they don't have to level them?

Been collecting these because not sure who to use them on. Should I use them on specific followers? Does it matter?

Followers can be used for a number of things, the main one of which is follower missions. You get a number of missions at your main hall on which to send them on and each mission boss will have an ability he uses that certain followers can counter. Select the best follower for the mission to increase it to 100% success rate, or as close as you can get, and send them off on their merry way.
You can get lots of different items as rewards form these missions which include, but are not limited to -

  • Garrison Resources
    Follower weapon/armour enhancements
    Money
    Follower experience to level them up
    Seal of Tempered Fate (1 loot reroll for raids)
    and a lot more

When the follower hits level 100 you can use those tokens to increase their item level, which in turn unlocks more missions with greater rewards. The best reward is the Highmaul Cache I believe which rewards a piece of ilvl 645 gear if your followers are successful. To get that mission though you need to have 2 followers with at least 645 ilvl themselves to unlock it.

Each follower has different abilities and traits, some are random and some are the same each time you recruit them. They have a certain amount depending on their quality (green, blue or purple).
Green = 1 ability and 1 trait
Blue = 1 ability and 2 traits
Purple = 2 abilities and 3 traits

Using a certain item, such as the one you say you have, will allow you to reroll those abilities and traits in the hpe of getting one you're missing from your current follower setup.

If you google wowhead follower guide there is a pretty comprehensive guide listing all of this and a lot more (such as bodyguards, assigning followers to buildings etc.)

What class are you PvPing with? Some points you capture by clicking the flag (Arathi Basin, Alterac Valley) and some you just need to stand on (Eye of the Storm). Warsong Gulch is a capture the flag BG and if you click on the flag you pick it up and then have to take it to your base. This obviously makes you a major target!

PvP gear is definitely better for PvP in this expansion. PvE gear isn't anywhere near as close as it was previously. There are vendors that you can spend your accrued honour points with to get items. Replace your items as you see fit, obviously prioritising replacing those with lower stats. If you're finding your damage a bit low get a weapon as a first priority. All the PvP gear makes up a set with bonuses for your class so have a look at what these are and then upgrade accordingly :)

I figured there was a difference because the first one was eye of the storm and there didnt seem to be anything to click yet there was another later in the night that had the flag to click. In the latter version, does it go faster the more of you are capturing or do you just let 1 person capture while the rest protect them?

All BGs that involve flags, only allow 1 person to actually capture the flag. You will need to protect the person trying to capture it.

AV and AB, you need to click the flags to capture the point. WSG and EoTS flag is one that can be taken to your base. The difference with EoTS is that you need to capture bases to take the flag to.

In Eye of the Storm, the bases you capture need you to have one more person than the enemy has on the same point, but it doesn't alter how fast you capture it as far as I can recall. The capture progress indicator is on the right side of the screen. Then to add confusion, there's a flag in the middle of EotS which you click on and return to a base that you hold for bonus points :)

Quite the opposite, warriors are in a good state DPS wise both as gladiator and as arms specs. I've been watching Fragnance from <Method> recently on Twitch while they've been running CM modes and the aoe dps is insane as arms spec and also pulls pretty close to top on single target though that's obviously someone at the top of their game on warrior with very good gear.

I would say it'd be best to boost a few epic followers at first to get unlock the 615/630 missions etc. Once the missions pop up you can then boost the specific followers with the traits you require for the missions success.
