That's pretty much the obvious man since I stopped playing a few years back. I don't look at it through rose tinted glasses at all. I admit the game was enjoyable back in the day but as time went on it became more and more lacking. I stopped having fun when I had to run the same daily quests day after day month after month just to get some silly trinket or re run the same dungeon 100 times over due to random chance being against me. That's not content, it's a silly grinding system used to make up for the lack of it. Sure, it's built upon the original WoW but after a while it stopped becoming fun and more of a chore to develop my character. I'm speaking from personal opinion so each to their own :) I know there are plenty of hardcore Blizzard fans out there that'll defend the game regardless.
 
Pandas in Warcraft were thing before WoW was made and have also been a highly requested playable race since launch. The problem is when a game/company gets as big as this its a damned if you do and damned if you don't situation
 
Havent played WoW for a year now but as always I'm pulled back by a new expansion.

Does WoD come with 30 days free? Or do I also need to buy the expansion and then another 30 day gametime? If thats the case I dont think I'll bother.

Pretty sure you need to pay for gametime too.
 
Seems like such a giant rip off in my book. Total outlay of £40+, then an additional £9 a month. Man that company have had so much money from me over the years.

I think its now time for me to completely draw the curtain. Sad times.

You've played for years and only now you've taken umbrage with the subscription system? :confused:

I'm currently not playing, but WoW has been far and away the best bang for my buck gaming. I was paying £9 a month at one point for something like 120 hours entertainment. That's 2 hours if I was going to see movies!
 
Thing is, there really isn't. Once you've dinged top level then all there is to do is grind dungeons and the odd raid.
 
One of the few games out there that is actually worth the outlay and subscription. I always think it puts the price of a console game to shame. You can spend so much more time in WoW and do more things than any other game.

Dungeons, raids, pet battles, battlegrounds, arenas, general achievement hunting...quite a lot happening
 
If you think about the 100+ million quid a month WoW generated at its peak when Blizzard had 12 million subscribers, it kinda puts into perspective how lame Blizzard are in terms of development. We could have had a new dungeon or raid every month and people would have kept playing. Instead Blizzard now find themselves clutching at straws adding things we asked for years ago in attempt to bring people back to the game. Too little to late.
 
A new raid every month would be terrible, it would mean raids are either stupidly easy so people can clear each one in a month, or they'd be the correct difficulty and 90% of the player base wouldn't see the content.

Hell, in TBC the content was far slower than once a month and most people never saw all of it.

Pandaland was announced and I left just before it got released.
I must say that levelling thru the panda sections has actually been good fun :)

A new dungeon a month then maybe.
 
I suspect a dungeon a month might be too much too! Problem I have is I tend to lose interest as soon as the next expansion is announced. It always dawns on me that my char and all the time I spent getting it up to scratch will effectively be reset on x date so I lose all incentive to carry on. Up until that time I can play on in blissful ignorance. Happens everytime!
Not that I'm compaining, everyone should take the occasional 6 month wow break. You'll get pulled back in eventually, we all do ;)

Sticking a new dungeon in once a month will make the above even worse!
 
Really looking forward to getting the expansion content started.
I really enjoyed pandaland and think over the past year blizzard have done a lot to improve the game greatly. Who cares if subs have gone down they still have way more subs than any other mmo so they mus still be doing something right.

Also i would like to add i love when people complain about the game not being the same as old and its now a grind fest of same dailies.. LOL when did this change its always been the same do people forget attunement or all those silly factions that were a daily dungeon grind to get rep for in the beloved TBC expansion they all so praise was the pinicple of wowness.
 
Will there be a download required before we can play WoD when it's released or are we fully patched and ready to go?
 
i think we are all ready to go but you never know we might get a message today stating server downtime early to patch for it. I am at work so i cant check my launcher.
