The amount of time it takes to level you may as-well do the 30. Although if you did the 80 it could do professions also. Personally I think it would be a waste.
 
We started playing WOW this week. Ive personally played it in the past (TBC was last time) but my missus hasnt. We have both made Pandas on Kul Tiras and went Horde.

One problem is going to be that I have a feeling the grind through the barrens etc and up to lvl 60+ might be a bit repetitive for me.

Is there any new content for levelling that I dont know about?
 
So i cracked and decided to buy the expansion. Have not played for 5 months due to work and find myself without a guild going into the expansion.

The last couple of expansions i have decided to stay up and log on at 2300. This has always led to massive frustration. I am going to play it smart this time and get some sleep, then get up around 0500ish to start. Looking forward to it.

Cataclysm revamped quite a few 0-60 areas. Hope you didn't love Thousand Needles too much...

Illidan was no issue for a Pally Tank. I can't remember his abilities now but I do know that I've tanked him in TBC for a kill. KT I never tanked if I'm honest. Purely because I joined my raiding community when they've emptied Tempest Keep. I only saw him during Lich King.

Another thing that was a ******* to tank for a Pally was Brutus. Before the nerve. Obviously we (pallies) don't have Shield Wall. We had to let a Warrior tank him.

However, despite Pallies starting to make their mark in TBC tanking, I would still say that Warriors were the better raid tanks. Pallies certainly the better AOE tanks.
 
Told myself i wouldnt worry about being on the minute the expansion goes live, told myself ill leave it till the weekend to start levelling.

Told my manager ill be off from 13th to 24th :D
 
What keybindings do you all use? I've only very recently got back in to wow after WoTLK and a bit of Cata and I was never really that serious a player anyway. I was always a clicker but obviously that is something which only really works with easy PvE content. Do you all use mouse movement or do you just utilise more keys around the wasd keys?
 
nice quality of life improvements for expansion launch this year

You'll be happy to know that Khadgar has collisions around him, meaning no one can sit directly on top of him. And best of all, mounting is disallowed in a 15 yard radius around Khadgar. Sorry to disappoint you, mammoth trolls.

Personally i use keys 1-5 for abilities with SHIFT and CTRL modifiers, so thats 15 keys sorted, i then use Q, E, F, G plus SHIFT, CTRL for another 12 keys.

If im healing ill use mouse bindings on unit frames for healing spells with SHIFT, CTRL, ALT modifiers for different spells.

Sounds complicated but its second nature after years of playing
 
If you boost from 61+ you get all professions maxxed. Specific ones if you don't have any or if you have some they are maxxed to 600.

This is more than worth it. I've leveled 2 to 61 takes a few hours then just boost to 90 with full professions
