Just seen that very post on WPCentral. Can confirm it works when region is set to US but not UK.

Obviously something they are still working on for non-US markets. Not hugely fussed for it either, was just thinking something was broken! Hopefully they'll sort the UK store shortly.
 
Cortana Works great with Microsoft Blue & Me in my Fiat.

Very quick access. Just appears in the phone book.

3 taps on one steering wheel button if it was the last dialled number.

So you're calling Cortana, to ask her to make a call / text / etc?

That feels weird.

Is there no one button you can hold or press that gives an equivalent to the search button? My Belkin Bluetooth-AUX kit don't specify it, but by holding the connect button for over 1 sec, I get Cortana.
 
I can ask the car directly to make a call (it has its own voice support), but yes I have to call Cortana to make interact with her.

I could try the windows button on the steering wheel, but I think it will just start the normal inbuilt system.

Edit- Nothing on the steering wheel instigates Cortana. I can press a button and say "Call Cortana" but then I have to confirm then it connects.

It is quite an old car 2010 so the tech is a bit out of date.

Seems the update have made my BT much quicker at connecting.

Use to have to wait a good 5 secs or more for it to connect to my previously paired Belkin. Now immediately on pressing sync, my music plays and a second beep happens 5 secs later to confirm full phone voice connection.

Much more sensible for in car music.
 
When is Ms going to release the cyan update for the developer preview?
As normal update has been released for 1320, but I understand the only way to get this is to reflash? Rather than some simple option off turning of developer preview.
 
My developer preview updated tonight and phone keeps having since. Happily browsing and the screen will just turn off and takes ages to get back on with hard reset. Anyone else having issues?
 
Okay!, The Official Cyan/8.1 update came through this morning for my wife's Lumia 620... One question I have is how do I get Cortana working?? it still goes straight to BING!
 
Make sure your language is English UK and your region is English Uk, restart and it should appear. Definitely works on D.Preview, so I assume the official Cyan / 8
1 needs the same.
 
Shame cortana does not appear to remind me of things when connected in car mode. In fact, the reminder didn't even appear on the screen till about 3 hours after disconnecting the car!
 
Bought myself a Lumia 630 yesterday. Set it all up and then went looking for Quiet Hours to find out it requires Cortana which tells me it isn't available in my region (set to UK). Bit of googling and set myself up on the development preview thing, changed my region and language to US and Cortana started working.

Any ideas when it will work when set to UK?
