X3:Terran Conflict has arrived

yep I'm going to capture one once i've got some good marines :D

I've used the spring blossom before but don't like it tbh, feels too much like a cheat ship.

left game tabbed out, I'm now 1110km from the stations in the sector, and got no energy cells to jump :o

going to be a long drive back :p
 
Wish my wifi didn't crapout cant load steam up but can browse the web getting very frustrated and PC has a shortened life at the moment because of it :( wanna play dammit :p

Mouse has already suffered a frenzied knife attack :D
 
Just a note on the missiles, the Mosquito is actually very useful because its extremely cheap, insanely fast and has a decent range, its one of the few missiles which is almost guaranteed to hit. While it doesnt actually do any damage it is quite good for making pesky fighters fly towards you when your in a big lumbering ship.

Its annoying not being able to finish a mission in your giant destroyer of justice because of a m5 whizzing around at 10x your max speed and staying out of weapons range.

There is also a very good missile defence script which will automatically launch a Mosquito at any missile fired at you, again because of the speed of the Mosquito there is a good chance the incoming missile will be killed very early and do good damage against the ship that fired it.
 
Another question, is this game easily played with the mouse and KB?

Or should I look into buying a joystick? Hm.

Easily played either way, a joystick does make things much better for the bigger ships avoiding the constant waving your mouse trying to turn and having weapons and missiles tied into joystick control is always oddly satisfying.

I use a mouse kb and joystick :o


Too kthe palm pad off the joystick (cyborg evo =amazing for customizing) so can sue it with either hand, use mouse for clicking things kb for shortcuts/strafe and joystick for combat/lazy flying.
 
take the pc to a mates house and let it connect there, once it is you can set it to of line mode and it will always have the option to again when you bring it back. (iirc it needs to be set into off-line once when it actually has a connection to work in future).
 
RIGHT we're getting somewhere! I'm just short of making my first 100k trading Meat Cahoonas :D. Is there an upgrade you can buy to see the prices for items in sectors that your not in?
