X3:Terran Conflict has arrived

Installed X-tended today with the idea of starting a fresh new game (well you have to anyway but you get the idea),just went for the basic argon start, nothing in the first sector but some ships so went through one gate to be chased away by some semi hostile police so went the opposite way and ended up floating around in sectors with no stations for about 20 minutes. Eventually found a sector with stations, took a easy combat mission to get the coordinates of a guy and then go kill him. Spent 5 minutes getting to the station to get the coordinates to then have to fly across a few more sectors only to then get a message that some other NPC had killed him *sigh*.

Not a good way to start a game and while I'm sure it was a poor reflection of the mod, why the hell did they start the basic start in the middle of nowhere? Totally kicked out any enthusiasm I had for playing X3.

Pretty sure the Otas start on XTM was like that, stuck in the middle of nowhere having to find your way back to normal space.
Atleast you had an awesome ship for that though ;D
 
Well I'm done for tonight. I've gone from 19k to 32k in 1H20m by just selling meatsteak cahoonas in Omicron Lyrae to about 4 different stations which want it.

Tomorrow I will get my other ship working for me as well to make some more cash. I also went up several trade ranks which is cool, 4 in total, feels like I'm finally progressing and not just flying around aimlessly.

YAY!!

I've moved on to trading Argnu Beef to the Cahoona factories as this offers a little more profit for me buy Agnu at 90-95 sell for 160 - 165.

I found this site which helps out a lot with prices. http://x3.roguey.co.uk/stations/resource.php Find a station which has surplus and then use that site to find out where to sell it and what your profit range is. :)

I'm still running around in the M4 starter ship ... working my way up to buy a freighter to do this work for me :p

hints and tips would be lovely. I can't fight in this ship because it's woefully under powered so trading is my only option at the moment :)

loaded up the terran start and you get a fight and a flipping great fully equipped terran m6 :eek:

So i think I'm going to RP pretend that it is in some way broken and stick it well out of the way in that sector and will only use it when i get my own shipyard and reverse engineer it. (just in case its in some way rare i don't want to just blow it up.)


It's a shame though that i really like the look of the terran stuff but you're limited to thier very boring (but effective) weapons on them :(

guess i'll mix an match as i go and build up before becoming true terran racist and build a fleet and destroy some borons :p
 
Well today was quite profitable. Got to 100k ... then spent some on ship upgrades which meant I could check prices from a distance and also find the cheapest price for a given item in the sector :D So only a slight set back to saving up for a new ship :p

Also went on a long journey across the universe to Argon Prime and around that general area. Seen some weird ships along the way, big green ones which were kind of whale like.

And my last remaining free ship went missing :( I set it to work at around 1pm but when I checked on it earlier it had gone ... probably crashed or destroyed, slightly gutted as I had plans to sell it to quicken the progress of getting a new ship, but oh well.

Tomorrow I shall be drinking from quite early on and trying to play :D

Must remember Dr. Who starts at 6
 
Oh forgot all about them, I'm sure I have a map with their locations on it. I totally know what I'm doing tomorrow now. Yay free ships :)

I think I read that some of them a booby trapped ? or have pirates surrounding them. I guess I'll find out tomorrow.

check your message log, it should tell you whats happened to your missing ships. ( Personal -> my message log )
