Seems fine to me, once you overclock your results will jump. As for temps, if you download ATi Tool or ATi Tray Tools (my preference) it'll display it within those programs as numbers and charts for you. :)

Yep that's very good, I get 12336 in '03 and 6347 in '05 and those are considered great results. You probably broke a record, most people can't get their core over 540 without crashing. :D

As i do believe that is a right that assists me, i'll continue to do so whenever i feel so. If you somehow feel that it is disturbing, don't look. As you, and all other buyers i've paid 150 pounds aprox. for that card. However if "we" bench it all together, comparing with any kind of superior OC range(and im not even reffering to XTPE speeds) card i WILL get lower results overall (discarding other components).
Sincerely, in my opinion, i AM NOT satisfied with such thing. If you are, well it's with you mate, however i do honestly think that you have no right whatsoever to question my insatisfaction just because overall it is a "bang gor the buck" card. I do recon so but as i said, I, me, am no satisfied with the values that i get. To me, it doesn't have the same value as one that does 520/540. I can't say that it has performed a 100% succesful mod.
And truly, i'm trying to get rid of it. Just because of 10mhz. It's my money, it's my mind, it's my way to see, do and act with things. At least when i am concerned with OC'ing. Call me fanatic. That right, you have it. And i assume to be so.

Yaaahhhhooooooooo

Just got mine this morning along with a nice shiny Skt 939 A64 3500+, 1GB of RAM (now running as dual channel) and an A8N-E motherboard

put it in, modded, overclocked, gets to 552/603 before my system hangs, just played HL2 for the last hour with it throttled back to 540/590 (x850XT-PE defaults) and it's stunning, 40fps+ constantly, averaging 60-70 on 1280, 6xAA, 16xAF and everything set as high as it goes, ATI Tray Tools reports the GPU core hovered around 65deg, 67max (i'm assuming from other places i've read that this is an acceptable GPU temp???)

Also ran 3dMark05 and got 6346, all in all i couldn't be happier:)
 
Another GTO2 owner modded, clocked and reporting in :D

Although not a spectacular clocker, 546 core 571 mem max (running @ 520/560 for benchies) with temps at 52 max (with arctic cooler fitted) it still manages a very resepctable:

3D Mark 05 - 6072

More than happy with that :D

Dont suppose power could be holding me back on the mem front? Currently running a Delta 350w :o and my 12v rail is hovering at ~ 11.3v on desktop. I have got a replacement on its way though so will see how that goes.

Im very happy :) Not tried 2003 cos it crashes for some reason and not tried 2005 cos I cant be bothered yet :) Dont think ill overclock til I got some decent cooling either.

i have mine on stock cooling, with no other fans in my case (Except the CPU fan) and it seems to cool it fine, although i'll probably be buying some neon fans to keep the whole thing cool and for asthetic value :)
 
well im getting a new build soon and selling my 6800gt(agp) for one of these ill gladly take yours off you gak 10mhz is nothing

been told even just unlocked there wont be much difference in what im getting from my 6800gt now
 
I'd be tempted to make an offer on gak's GTO2 meself. the only thing thats sort of guaranteed basically is to unlock the pipes. Overclocking really is luck of the draw, some go higher than others.

I quite agree. I'm really happy with mine. Only get 510 (stable) out of the core and 610 from the memory, but it's awesome anyway. I've just broken 6500 in 3d05 :D
 
Will this mod work on a Saphire x800GTO agp card? Not GTO2, but GTO???

Nevermind, just found out this mod doesn't work on regular GTO's and there is no AGP GTO2. Damn.
