Yeah I wouldn't fancy my hand at putting one of those on that would look remotely good, I'm **** with anything like that. Think 5 screen protectors on a phone before giving up and leaving it naked type bad.

I use an 8tb USB Xbox game drive and have not had any performance issues. I do keep my currently playing games on the internal drive as the Xbox uses its flash storage as a drive cache to speed up performance. Any decent usb drive will work fine.

Is that the 8gb flash, isn't that more for apps and the OS.

It’s also used to cache files on the HDD to speed up access times. I had a chat with MN about it a while back it’s why the stock drive gets a decent performance increase even though it’s a bog standard 5400rpm Seagate.

Cool, I may try that then, although do you think it would be pointless for me as I turn off my X after use, I don't use the instant on feature.

Dolby Vision HDR update is out now. 697MB download. You must have one of the recent HDTVs on this list though for it to work on Media only at this stage no Dolby Vision games yet.

Does not work on B6 not overly bothered as only use Xbox for games.....

I think they will continue to support HDR 10 as well as Vision tbh.

Probably not in the next few years as too many older HDTV's support it. Dolby Vision is supposed to be a standard going forward. Dolby Vision has an extra metadata layer I believe which helps a lot when they encode new movies for 4K UHD Disc (dynamically adjust the image on the fly to suite the HDTV capability) so its probably going to continue to gather a lot of support in the future.

B6 only supports Dolby Vision at 24hz I believe

Not a huge problem as I have a seperate Panasonic 4k blu-ray player that supports Dolby Vision.

By the time there's a good amount of games using DV I'd imagine people will have updated to one of the newer OLEDs anyway unless you bought an 8 series this year.

VRR and 120hz 4k on the horizon also...

Dolby Vision is technically superior due to tone mapping, but yes it's hard to tell the difference.

I agree on paper it all sounds nice blah blah blah.

I've watched the same show in HDR10 and DV and visually no different to my eyes.
