£449 is good for the spec on offer from series X. Screw ampere, think i will go console for a couple of years until the 40xx or 50xx series gpus.

I still think I'm going to wait at least until DF get their hands on both the S and X and see what uplift they provide over the one x

What kind of gpu power is the s or don't we know yet?
They are very very good prices.

Edit.

I'm actually not sure the series s us actually that good value. Lower spec gpu then the one x? Not for me.

I don’t know how anyone could say it isn’t good value. Look at the actual hardware you are getting and think how much each component would cost if you tried to build a PC around the same specification. It’s unbelievably good value.

Pleasantly surprised with the £449 cost for the X, I was budgeting for £500 so that's a cool bit of hard cash in my pocket :)

Well, I can take the sock out of my mouth now.

On Xbox Series X, Valhalla will run at 4K and 60FPS. It will benefit from "higher resolution textures and improved shadow quality" plus "clutter density", which sounds fun. It will also use the console's SSD for faster loading and smoother traversal. Finally, it is a Smart Delivery game, meaning you can upgrade from an Xbox One copy at no extra cost.

What hap[pens if you still have quite a bit to go on your existing game pass subscription come November, but want to get the monthly deal? Nothing i presume..

Does anyone know if the "Xbox Velocity Architecture" will enable the kind of load speeds they've been touting for PS5?

I was going to get PS5 because I thought Series X was going to be much more expensive than it is but this price making me want Series X.

I don't think we have a comparison yet between the X and the PS5 so it'd only be a subjective view/guess as to which is better in terms of storage speeds.

Yes. But not to the same extent.

When you look at footage for Ratchet & Clank, for example, you can still see a short transition on PS5. It isn't quite instantaneous. On Series X & S, the transition will take just over double the time, or the game would need to load less data.

Im talking about the lower spec model. No disk drive, lesser GPU then a xbox one x...why on earth would anyone get that and not a one x?
