I hope we're not going to have a situation where all the scalpers are buying every bit of online stock they can find. I won't be amused if I have to wait until 2021 to get an Xbox. :(

Is it me or is every 'youtuber' under the sun getting a Series S?

I hope this isn't going to be another RTX 3000 situation where everyone except the people paying for them gets one. :o

I'm only moaning if Paris Hilton gets one. :p

But I bet half of these people being given consoles are PC gamers anyway and won't ever touch the consoles again once they done their write-ups/videos.

Digital Foundry vid on Gears 5 updates.

Blimey. Dynamic resolution of 1440-2160p. Was not expecting that at all. Native 4K all the way was my belief. But I doubt I will enjoy it any less. It's a superb looking game. And better keeping that 60fps rather than 4K30. Watching the 30fps footage in split screen mode was painful.

just got me thinking there, ive got £75 worth of reward points sat there, when i get another £25 worth then maybe i'll drop them on the expansion.

That's my position. So I choose either to take £70 off the console or £70 off the 1TB SSD. It took me a whole year to save up that amount.

Interesting reading all these reviews. There are still embargoes in place preventing full disclosure of some things. Like they are not allowed to talk about DiRT 5 because it has performance issues right now nor Quick Resume on X|S Optimized games because it doesn't work properly and AC Valhalla is 60fps on XSX but 30fps on XSS.

The Ars.Technica man spilled all the above.

The sooner 10th and 12th November come and no-one can be gagged anymore, the better if you ask me.

Just seen this on the PS5 thread - am surprised to see the XsX loading games up faster. Is this because of the velocity architecture? Better compression and decompression hardware? Something else?

Digging a bit more, it might be because of the CPU. None of these games will be using the new hardware so it has to be done the old way. MS give Xbox games the full power of the CPU (3.8GHz), Sony is supposedly keeping the clocks the same as the PS4 (Pro) (2.1? GHz) for BC so it might mean slower decompression.
