How do you enable FPS Boost or is it automatic? I cant see any settings for it.

It's automatic on games that support it, but as of right now there are only a few with it enabled. If the game does support it, you can then toggle it off on the game but I honestly don't know where to do this yet as I've not got any FPS Boost games installed now. I had Sniper Elite 4 but ended up removing it before this latest Xbox update which added the ability to toggle. You can also disable Auto HDR if you wanted to.

Do you think there is any chance this will ever work with Red Dead Redemption 2?

It's highly unlikely despite how much I want it to be enabled. It's up to the developer to give MS permission to add the feature to the game and unfortunately Rockstar will probably want to sell a remaster of RDR2 rather with X|S features rather than allowing MS to enable something for free. I'm hoping I'm wrong though!

Thanks for clearing that up, does Auto HDR Enabled in settings prevent FPS Boost from working?

Just checked GAME out of curiosity and they had the Series S available on Xbox All Access.

I currently pay £10.99 for Game Pass on PC so for an extra £10 a month I can have an Xbox in the Living Room for some casual gaming.

I have good PC so when I want to play high fidelity/FPS games, I'll play them on PC.

No, they’ll charge for it.

Yeah - that's my inkling as well.....shame really!

Would be gutting having to pay just for an FPS boost, so I'd probably just not bother, unless they also added a load more content.

you’re missing a point though, R* have never really cared about selling remasters.

You mean except GTA V Remastered which was announced instead of GTA 6 when Sony ran their PS5 event? I can't imagine they'd remaster GTA V and not remaster RDR or RDR2. There's already been rumours that RDR is getting a remaster on PS5 and Xbox Series X, so I disagree that they're not interested in remasters. They quite clearly are otherwise they wouldn't be doing GTA V at the moment. This is why I don't believe that FPS Boost will be offered for RDR2 which will be a shame because playing it at 30fps is certainly noticeable.

I don't think that they'll add any further content to RDR 2. They've shown that their commitment is to RDR 2 Online and not the single-player game which is a shame. I've not finished RDR 2 yet and will go back to it sometime, but it would be nice to have some more stuff to do once the main story is finished.

Fallout 4 was running at 60fps in the Digital Foundry FPS Boost video a few weeks back, and they noted that it wasn't in the first batch of games, so I reckon they were purposefully holding back the Bethesda titles even though most of them are ready. Damn but Fallout 4, Skyrim and Wolfenstein at 60fps will be amazing! I know Skyrim has a 60fps mod but I think it disables achievements if you use it so that's not good! I guess I'll be playing through Skyrim yet again. I've only just had a go before Christmas on my Nintendo Switch but heck, it's such an amazing game that I'll play it again and again!

it doesn't disable achievements if you do the little trick where you enable 60fps mode but then exit game, load in then disable the 60fps mod and play.

Has anyone downloaded Morrowind? Does it play in a square window like it does on PC game pass is what I'd like to know. It's not uncommon for old games.

It is a shame, I've not got through the whole game yet, but 60fps would have been be great as a freebie*

*From my inner PC demon, don't get on well with lower FPS.
