Anyone seen the rumour Squares new Outriders game might be on Game Pass day 1? Was a very popular demo on steam recently. Might be a good get if true :)

I was thinking about getting this after the demo but was going to wait until it dropped in price.

If this is indeed true, what a coup especially for a brand new game.

What did you think of the Medium? I assume most played it being the first current gen release.

I enjoyed it but it does feel very old fashioned, almost like the first resident evil. Fixed camera angles takes some getting used to. Animation isn't of this generation, at least not of a AAA game. I enjoyed it though, good atmosphere and story.

Picked up my first ever Xbox console today - Series X - having been a Playstation player for years!

First impressions are very good but I'm a bit taken aback that you put regular AA batteries in the controllers! I don't know why but I just assumed that controllers these days had rechargeable batteries in like the Playstation ones do!

Is there a well regarded rechargeable battery pack out there?

Get some eneloops and a charger that prevents overcharge. You’ll rarely have to swap them out. AAs are far better than built in batteries.

Thought it was pretty poor. It’s one of those games where I just wanted it to finish.

There’s little actual “game” there, animations are poor and the story is an indecipherable mess.

I've just ordered myself the headset in the strength of that interview. It sounds like it's been an incredibly well designed bit of hardware. I can't wait to get it out!

I had one in order already, but stoked to hear the details on it.

Where are you all pre ordering the headset from, direct from Microsoft?

My SX gave me its first issue yesterday, no sound, I'm using a wired headset through the controller and had to unplug and replug it in a few times before I got sound, hopefully just a one off and I want the new wireless headset anyway but was going to wait for my birthday

Possibly. It does say in a game's compatibility area that enabling FPS boost may lower resolution. This may be something that happens in the future but as of right now, it doesn't.

Thanks, I think this setting is activated on game by game basis, do you know where about's the setting is to activate it, where available?

For most games that support FPS boost and/or auto HDR, the feature is on by default. However, for some games, you’ll need to enable it manually. To do so, go into the Manage game section of any title, and then select Compatibility options.

To enable FPS boost, simply check the box. If you prefer to disable FPS boost and play the game in its original form, uncheck the box.

Thats from xbox support, not checked myself.
