I imagine it is best to get from MS themselves? I will prob get mine elsewhere just because I have giftcard credit from previous headset issues. I'm going to wait a while to see what reviews are like. I have had a number of wireless headsets and find myself using wired for the moment.

The Arctis 9x went back (just about within warranty, broken hinge on earcup) Astro A50's the dock kept freezing, had two sets with the same issue on the Series X. So hoping the MS Wireless are decent. My main concern is how are they going to sound for the price?

i've noticed this last week when the site has stock, they seem to stagger the availability over the next few hours so use the link on stockinformer and sign in on microsoft site ready to click buy as you may get lucky.

first game im going to try is Doom64 on game pass :D i missed it first time round and has the simular soundtrack to the ps1 doom games.

PS: email says thanks for placing order so i'll believe it when its shipped haha.

I ordered mine from Amazon on Saturday. It says it's arriving Tuesday.

I've not played it yet but if it does indeed come to Game Pass, I'll give it a go. This, along with the other rumours for Game Pass, like something being added from the FromSoftware catalogue, the possibility of Ubisoft coming toward the end of the year, and Bethesda having just been added really is making Game Pass pay for itself even at full price.

I really hope this is true. It's taken great restraint this past week not to splurge out on Ubi games in the sale just in case Ubisoft+ comes to Game Pass. Although I ended up buying AC Ezio, Prince of Persia Sands of Time and Prince of Persia 2008 but I could easily have carried on with more AC and Far Cry games.
 
New XBOX headphones turned up this morning from Amazon, didnt think they were released until tomorrow?

First impressions are good, very comfortable compared to my 700 Gen2's. Speech is nice and clear. Quite a bit of bass on gunshots and explosions by default so will have to check out the EQ settings.

Great to hear that! The EQ settings looked pretty good in the video interview with Major Nelson so hopefully they translate well in terms of sound. The engineer had some cool stuff to show off during the vid. I can't wait to get mine tomorrow!

Mine arrived too and I’ve had to do loads of tweaking as the bass is muddy and overblown and the mids are muffled.

I’m actually very disappointed in them out of the box, even the duff astro A40 are better.

That's a shame, maybe it's something that can get sorted out with firmware updates.

I agree, the bass is just wrong and echo-ey. I'm going to do some custom EQ tweaking tonight and see I can get the bass all the way down.

They're not officially released until tomorrow so I'm sure there's probably a firmware update ready for them out the box that should sort things like this out.

That won’t fix the sound profile, which is caused by the physical design. You can use an EQ band aid but that causes its own set of issues when you go against the natural sound profile of the drivers.

First thing it did was a firmware update when it connected. I'm sure it will be sorted, I havent seen anything too negative in the early reviews
