GTA online is an absolute griefers paradise and Rockstar seem to positively encourage it. Solo play in an open lobby is next to impossible. Nothing more annoying than dropping off some gear in a post van and be blown away by someone at rank 300 who has tens of millions of dollars worth of property and vehicles who gains $5,000 for his trouble :rolleyes:. Not a thing you can do about it.

Absolutely loved the first one so RDR2 was possibly my most anticipated title of all time. Got it on release day, don't think I am much more than 25% through it. I just don't know what I don't like about it but have little desire to go back to it. Shame.

I am not low level on GTA5 online, I have like a 120 lvl character, and it's been that way for years, I have a few apartments, garage full of cars, helicopters and a plane but I stopped playing and trying to get money for years now so I don't have any flying cars or flying suits or flying bikes. The problem with planes and helicopters is I need to get it from a certain place. Those god damn bikes, too fast for even homing rockets to hit, and you can keep them at the mobile truck thing?

The flying bikes, Oppressor Mk2, you need that mobile truck to modify one and put homing rockets on it but you can keep it anywhere. You need a night club to buy the truck too so a fully armed Oppressor costs in excess of $5m.You can call your mechanic to drop it off for you on the side of the road so griefing and PKing aside the time saved by using one to traverse the map is huge. They are absolutely essential these days imo. You need to carry a threat to avoid a threat right?
A jet fighter is the only real counter to them, you can outrun their rockets with the afterburners on pretty easy, even as a novice pilot. It's way easier fighting them on foot to be honest.

I have a nightclub, and I think I can get the truck, but not enough cash to get the bike, or that I’m not interested in the game enough to invest time to get all of it, not even with the free cash they’ve been giving away weekly. I never do the new events anymore. I went into the casino when it first opened and that was fun for a week, the nightclub was okay for a bit. I even got a bunker or a bike gang garage thing.

I don’t mind getting shot at but flying bikes tipped the balance too much.

Unfortunately I agree with you there! I’ve got hundreds of hours on that game and bought it on three different platforms having thoroughly enjoyed it with a group of friends, however the addition of those bikes was the worst thing they have done by far.
 
Yeah they have been giving away $1m per month to PS4 players since mid last year. If you have a nightclub, a bunker, a coke lab and a meth lab you can make $1m in an hour or so if you put yourself n an MTU lobby. That new heist is so much easier and quicker than the others too and as a result money has lost its value in the game and even low levels players are out and out griefers now. You can avoid some of them by playing in a non auto targeting lobby where generally players will only shoot if shot at but that's not always the case. I'm pretty much done with it now but GTA 6 will be a 00:01am day one purchase though!! :D

Interesting, I played all of them on PC but they always disappointed. I suppose I never forgave them for selling the Far Cry franchise and just wanted a remake of the original. That would be awesome.

I don’t understand the purchase. MS already have a lot of game engines in their portfolio, and Crytek is just a poor quality game series designed to showcase the graphical capabilities of the engine.

I'm guessing they see the potential in it somewhere, I agree though, I thought the games were pants overall, especially those stupid flying octopus things in the first one. Hopefully they can use the engine for something good.

It only makes sense if they’re stripping out the talent to work on other projects, such as the slipstream or the various Bethesda/id engines.
