Any tips for picking up an XSX? I decided to grab one a couple of weeks ago and since then haven't seen one in stock! Argos had a few but none available for delivery to me

I would not solely rely on stock informers - check some of the stores at random times.

I was incredibly lucky that I just happened to look on Argos and it was in stock!

You might want to setup a store account with some of the stores as well, it will make checkout easier since there is a likelihood that checkout might crash. Mine did on the first attempt. I went back a few minutes later and more stock was available. Got to say brilliant service by Argos, collected within 48 hours.

Still very happy with my release day Series S. Although lately even though I only had a handful of games installed it only had about 15% free space left, add the fact my SSD I was using for BC games died on me I decided to push the boat out and picked up the 1TB Seagate expansion off of the MM for a good deal. :D

Starting to use it a bit more now that games have been updated to make use of the hardware. Just seen that Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice has also been updated so will add that to the list.

Space is an issue though, I like to dip in and out of games and the lack of storage does get in the way of that.

That was the same issue I had. My connection is decent for FTTC but I still have to wait atleast a good couple hours for a game to download which isn't much good when I'm only able to play for 90 minutes at a time.

Been meaning to try Hellblade so would be a good excuse, I've found Xbox One and 360 games have a nice detail and frame rate jump though even with out patches.

Im seriously considering getting the Xbox series x over the ps5 despite having a pretty good gaming pc am I mad?

My brother has one and I'm blown away how good it is. I watched him play red dead redemption 2 and it looked just as good as my pc version plus he's playing it on a big 4k compared to my monitor.

They seriously need to add some sort of queue system which you put down a deposit that locks you in so at least you have a chance of getting one without been sweaty and keep refreshing thorough the day only to see them be there, and you go to checkout within milliseconds they're all gone. :D

I'm finding it very hard to believe the whole "Chip shortage" crap they keep going on about if I'm been honest...i think its intentional.

And RDR2 isn't even enhanced for the new consoles either! :D It will be the older Xbox One X version running in backward compatibility mode.

If you have a decent gaming PC it is mostly pointless getting a Xbox over a PS5 as all the Xbox first party exclusives go to PC.

The chip shortage that lots of different sections of industry have been complaining about; they are all BS’ing then?..

Do you not use the phone app? Browse through and set it download before you go to bed or while you are at work and it's done by the time you get round to playing. Its absolutely brilliant. You can even clear space with it which I did for the first time last week. Granted it doesn't speed it up but with a little forward planning I find its not an issue.

I have PC and xbox. PC for DoTA and FPS. Xbox for sofa gaming, RPG's etc. Not pointless at all.
If you're going to blow £400+ on a console it is makes more sense to me to have access to different games than you can already access on the PC. But I guess that's just me.

I have used the app and it's very handy if I'm at work and want something downloading for when I get home, but deleting games I plan to come back to within a week to make room for a game I might not enjoy is something of a faff.
