Can anyone recommend some games? I've been out of the loop game-wise for a long time.

I like RPGs and other open-world games.
Solasta: Crown of the Magister is one of my favourites recently, also Wasteland 3, both on GamePass too. Cyberpunk is worth a shot now too.

EDIT
Kingdom Come: Deliverance

SO I've had a little bonus come in last month and I've always been pretty content to keep my Xbox One X, but, hey maybe it's time for an upgrade. My mate has the Series X with the game pass combination where its like £30 a month? I'm thinking about going for the S if I do upgrade as I don't have any Series S/X games on disc. Though I do have a few on disc for the One X. Thoughts, gentlemen?

Edit, I totally misread about the Series S. Principle applies though for gamepass. To add, if you have a 4k TV you may want to consider the SX but I appreciate it's a big price difference. You may find your disc games are on GP already but if not, and you really want to play, and can justify it then go for the SX.

It will be much much cheaper to buy it outright and use the trick to get multiple years of game pass.

£28.99 x 24 = £695

Take away the console price and you are paying £245 for gamepass for 2 years. For context, I paid £80 for 3. The price may be a little different now but it wont be close to £245!

Buy whatever and do the trick as mentioned above. It'll work out cheaper, put it on finance if you want to pay monthly for whatever reason.

Hi All, my son got an Xbox Series S for his birthday and he has an account as do I and we both have the ultimate pass, however I don't want to be able to see each others games or share game data on the console.

Does anyone have any ideas how to do this?

Thanks

Xbox for a 9 year old? Or switch

Switch is great for kids, especially for that transportable gaming and being able to game on the couch still round the family.

But of course the series s with game pass is a bargain!

Depends on the use, if it's purely staying in the home then the series s but if it'll be used in the car/grannies then the switch.

Single player narrative, i would strongly say PlayStation. Multiplayer it does not really matter. On a budget it is very much in Xbox's favour.

Edit - I saw your response above, there is no reason to switch to anything else.

Is the Xbox Elite 2 controller the best way to get a rechargeable controller? I've worked out how much it will cost me in AA batteries for the standard controller, and it would work out better to get the Elite 2 with a rechargeable battery, although if there is a cheaper option, I'd love to hear it.

You could get the official play+charge kit, bought mine with rewards points and is excellent.

Rechargeable AAs?

But I wish I'd went plug and play route.
