I don't play my xbox that much, couple of times a week give or take. Sometimes don't turn it on for a week. I'm trying to figure out why updates for games aren't installing automatically. Everything looks to be configured for it but when I had a look today I can see 5 updates that require me to approve before they do anything. Had it with a pre-loaded game the other week too, went to play it and it said I needed to downloads multiple gb's. Does anyone else experience this?
Sometimes. Like a couple of days ago there was a big CoD update I needed to download but other times it handles the updates fine but I don't know why. System updates happen automatically though so that is weird.

I've also had issues with turning my console on and being faced with multiple updates despite having auto update turned on. I've read on Reddit that only the last 3 games you played are updated, so if you have all of Game Pass downloaded you are out of luck unfortunately.

Is that really the case? So annoying if you only occasionally play a game. Completely ruins the point of pre-loading a game if a giant update doesn't get installed.

Anyone using cloud streaming to a mobile device when the TV is in use?

If so what device/setup and what type of games please?

Looking at Logitech G Cloud but it's expensive for what it is and I'm not sure I'm going to renew gamepass when it expires next year so might look at something that isn't just streaming

Just buy a Gamesir or a Backbone controller for your phone and use that? Much cheaper than buying a streaming handheld.

Yeah I am I'm waiting for black Friday to see if anything gets a heavy discount. Also considering a steam deck, obviously the price difference is huge but I've got a load of games on steam that are just sat dormant. Can't decide what I want to be honest :)

Dungeons 4 is free on Game Pass. If you haven't played it then it is basically a modern day version of Dungeon Keeper 2, The series pretty funny and the game play fun. Give it a go. It comes out on 9th of November.

Just a heads up - Doritos offer 1 month of Game Pass Ultimate (worth £12.99!) for £1.75 bag of chips at the moment. I normally steer well clear of MSG products but just bought a bag anyway so I can play Sniper Elite 5. :D

having lots of fun with latest Forza Motorsport - I'm about 21 hours in now so far and really enjoying it

I also have GT7 on the PS5 and I just can't get on with that, I find I haven't enough credits for next car for next race series, I'm constantly menu diving, I don't like the handling as much and I don't like the graphics as much

Might be a controller vs wheel thing, but against some opinion I much prefer the handling in latest Forza it feels to me how a car would react especially when on the limit and in a skid etc

Lords of the fallen on Xbox series S = 432p resolution and framerate down to 2fps

In case you were wondering, the PlayStation 2 from 2001 played games at 480p, the series s is playing this game at less than that

Anyone tried Wartales on gamepass? Had a couple of hours on it last night and enjoyed it far more than I thought I would. Not the typical type of rpg I play. Just wish the max text size was bigger as its quite a struggle to read some of it on my TV.

Downloaded it but not not tried it yet, trying to clear the backlog, just finished Jusant which I really enjoyed and trying to finish Cocoon but I'm stuck. Wartales is next

Yeah, it's a little slow, especially to begin with, and there isn't really a tutorial, so I've been having to google some bits. However I am enjoying it so far.

I finished Starfield last night. Won't give any spoilers away but the main questline is a bit meh. I've put over 60 hours into the game, really enjoyed the side quests but don't think I'll spend much more time in the universe until there is some DLC or mods are released.

Still getting on with it? The map traversal and food situation is a bit annoying but I like most of the other stuff.
I've completed the first area now.

As you say the traversal is a bit slow but I've been spending knowledge points on running speed and stamina to try and extend time between having to rest at camp.

I haven't got a cook amongst my group yet so I may look at that to help with food situation. At the moment every time I did contracts, when I returned to collect the bounty I just bought a load of food so I always have enough.
