Today Microsoft has cut the price of the Xbox by 25%

But so far the price cut is for the US only

Looking at the current price, I’m pleased I picked one up when I did.

Black Friday + 10% Discount from a friend who works for Sainsbury’s and in turn is eligible for 10% Discount at Argos.

Paid £333 with Dying Light 2!

I thought with GTA 5 you were able to switch between Graphical Modes such as Performance, Performance RT etc…

Mine has no option to do so, quickly Google suggests I’m not alone.

I cannot cope with 4K - 30FPS.

Wonder if I’ve downloaded the wrong version via Gamepass. I’ll have a tinker later once I’m able to spend some time on the Console!

Mine on S/X has Performance RT mode which is 60fps are you sure you downloaded the S/X version as I have the option to download both versions ?

So stick drift, normally for any games i play I adjust the dead zone in individual games. Firstly is there a way to do this to cover all games? And secondly my sons on the pc is drifting, is there a way to adjust them on pc use?

I have the extended warranty and considering seeing if they will swap them out.

I picked one up, been toying with the idea for a while, but the £110 saving helped. Ended up going to Smyths and paying £360 for console alone… none of the bundles interested me.

So far been using the backwards compatibility to play gta iv and Alan Wake, loving the instant resume even after turning the console off!

Haven’t even considered this generation of games yet!

Managed to get a series s with 3 months of game pass ultimate or something for £185 new. Got it for my daughters christmas, she's desperate to plat Goat Simulator 3 and i just noticed its on game pass so win win! Instant saving of £20 right there.

I'm just hoping its a little snappier / quicker loading then the xbox one (normal) she had. The X would have been a complete waste on her tbh so didnt see the point in paying more.

It's more than a little snappier at loading I'll tell you that, it makes such a huge difference due to the SSD storage, even slow loading games like Tekken 7 that normally take up to two minute to load a match take seconds :)

The Series S is a great console for someone with a standard Xbox one or someone who just wants to dabble in the Xbox eco system.

Shes coming from a one s and doesnt really have any complaints with that! It just a shame controllers are so expensive but the ability to use last gen ones is a nice touch.

Yeah the controllers being fully compatible is great, the only thing you miss is the addition of the "share" button that was added to the ones included with the Series console.

She will be really happy with it I'm sure :)

I think im looking forward to it more then her  .

I was going to set it all up for her but i want her to open it like its brand new so im ill sort it on the day...then promptly purchase Alan Wake 2

I've completed the first area now.

As you say the traversal is a bit slow but I've been spending knowledge points on running speed and stamina to try and extend time between having to rest at camp.

I haven't got a cook amongst my group yet so I may look at that to help with food situation. At the moment every time I did contracts, when I returned to collect the bounty I just bought a load of food so I always have enough.
Still playing? It's quite a hidden gem I think, really enjoying it now.
