Got the dreaded import duty bill in the post for Fedex today, £40 to pay apparently. Anyone know how late you can leave it or do they actually expect immediate payment? Seems a strange way of doing it given I've already taken delivery of the goods.

They've got the value down as 250 USD so its 20% of that converted to GDP plus a tenner worth of admin charges. Guess this is the risk with importing.

Screen itself is excellent though, very happy with it worked straight out of the box. Did post a picture a few pages back but seems to have gone.

got my cross over today, it has just one stuck blue pixel far left, but its not noticeable at all, may try to get rid of it, but im not fussed, I'm amazed by the space/size of this thing lol.. picture is amazing!!.

I had to pay £32 in the end for customs + parcelforces charges whatevers.., I thought It would have been higher so its all good!.

Just counting down the days till my gtx680 turns up as my single gtx 460 768mb is struggling on this res playing bf3 :P.

Once you go ips, you'll never want another tn panel.

I got a u2311h, by far the best monitor I have own. The colors are more vibrant on a ips panel doesn't look washout as your tn panel. I use my monitor for gaming, photo editing, and movies.

Just bought the ACHIEVA 27", cant wait to get it next week.

Thats the thing.... Its not as simple as that.

I own the 27 inch Hazro 1440p IPS, and I also own the BenQ 2420T 120hz TN.

For normal computer use and browsing, yes once you go IPS you will never go back.

But for gaming.... Once you go 120hz TN you never go back....

IPS panels have poor pixel response time in comparison to TN panels, and although some people say they dont notice a difference, the majority of people who actually own a good TN panel will tell you that for gaming the difference is night and day and the picture is more smooth with less blur and much more detailed in motion, just much easier on the eyes and a much more pleasurable experience.

For me a TN monitor sucks for general computer use and work, but an IPS monitor sucks for gaming.

Pick your poison, or have best of both worlds, I chose to have best of both :D
