Yamakasi Catleap 27" 100mhz IPS

These look pretty tasty - I am in the market for a new monitor to replace my 24" TN Dell LCD that has been OK but the viewing angles are pretty annoying and I have suffered them long enough ...:D

I am guessing that the integrated graphics on an i5 2500k won't be up to scratch and seeing I don't game on the pc what would be the cheapest graphics card I could buy to get the best out of these monitors??
 
iirc a i5 can do up to 2560x1600, just not over DVI which these monitors require. If you don't game any videocard with a dual-link DVI out will do, the cheapest one seems to be the NVIDIA GT210 or if you prefer AMD, the AMD 5450. I was in the same situation a while back and went for a AMD GT520 because it was the most power efficient solution and it had the latest generation of NVIDIA's hardware video decoding.

A shame OC UK doesn't sell the AMD silent series of this card, the fan is completely unnecessary on such a low power card.
 
Right, I think I am ordering today, to those who have already ordered - did you spring the extra for the "pixel perfect" or did you go with the cheaper option?
 
Cheaper option here, with no deaduns, from Wellknownkoreanmanufacturer_Korea, they use Fedex, and communicate well, make sure you ask for a $125 ish valuation of product at point of order.
 
Just paid DHL over the phone for a charge (not sure if this is the total charge or only partial (was quite hard to hear)). Should be arriving tomorrow 9-5 :) ... will post my thoughts once I receive it.

btw - someone posted above about getting a hazro with a 10% off coupon (thats not a bad deal); might have even took that up if I didnt already purchase this one.
 
I got my monitors with big cloth, he sent them with Dhl, they were sent on the wed via tracking was in uk on the fri.. I live on the isle of man so got them Monday morning. I went for pixel perfect all are ok plus I've had no bills as of yet.

Wow 3 monitors and no bills ... I will have one and have a bill (had to pay it before they delivered); same guy also. Will get tomorrow at least to test out. Just ordered the 'cheap' version.
 
Currently fighting the temptation to buy another one, my old monitor which I now use as a secondary just looks so terrible in comparison.
 
Really want to get one of these but dont want to get one and and be stuck with 60hz or a 2c/d version.

From what I have gathered they are trying to source 100hz catleap versions but will take about a month if I am correct.

From more research the lowest the catleap monitors refresh rate is 85hz even on all models correct? If so I will order today anyway as I dont want to miss out on an awesome price/resolution!

I cant find out what the 2B models lowest OC is as I see some ordering the pixel perfect version and getting the older 2b model that can be OC'd better
