Still can't get over how good BF3 look on my Achieva QH270 comparing to my u2311h.

The colors is more vibrant and more depth. Will upload few pics later.

This monitor is freakin awesome for gaming

I had a shot on BF3 earlier - Ultra settings (just without the AA) played smooth enough and I have to agree, the difference is night and day coming from even an IPS panel with 1920x1200!!!

Love it, just need to find a way round this bios issue without having to keep an emergency crappy monitor lying around lol

Seems OCN or whoever it is are taking over the overclocked versions and arent posting feedback or doesnt look likely so think I might just bite the bullet and order a pixel perfect version, what was the the procedure for the people who paid for pixel perfect and got dead pixels, did they just get refunded to the normal price?

Has anyone tested this on xbox or ps3 ? just cause over here they claim it works

http://www.firstpost.com/topic/prod...3-at-1080p-1-2-video-ZvF2_op6D80-51431-1.html

Now my question is, if this indeed works and with the monitor only having 1 DVI connection, is there such a adaptor or splitter so you can have DVI connected but a box that controls the output, aka to monitor and then switch to the xbox/ps3 ? so you dont need to keep changing cables at back of monitor.

You can buy DVi switch boxes, I used to have a 3 way one a while back. Was about £15 from the online auction site...

The monitor is not meant to have a scaler so not sure how a 1080p signal would be displayed ? Would it have borders.....

I do own this monitor, just i sold my xbox ages ago lol, now my idiot friends have repurchased theirs lol... starting to feel left out .. sniff sniiff..

ill wait on results, if means need to put this monitor (2B Version) on MM and buy a 27" dvi/hdmi monitor instead so be it.

iim really tempted by these but id like to know:

- what happens if it arrives damaged? what returns/refund policy is there?

- this "pixel perfect" thing, is it worth the extra money?

- which brand would be recommended if i need inbuilt speakers too?

thanks guys :)

You would need to take it up with the seller and paypal. Your card issuer may provide some assistance. It's a bit of a risk as you are not covered by the sale of goods act or any other uk laws.

I ordered one with Pixel perfect. I'm not overly bothered if there are a few dead ones as they are tiny and my eyes are useless.

All of them are meant to have rubbish speakers, I ordered the PCBank 2700 super which has speakers I will try them when it arrives.

Good point I imagine they will be expensive.

I think I might have a 2 way one somewhere.
I used it back when I had my PS3 plugged into my monitor along with my PC. I was running 3D Vision so I made sure it was dual link. I may have sold it at a car boot sale, if not I'll stick it in the MM and PM you. I'll see if I can find it tonight.

Edit - Had a look, not where it would be if I still had it, sorry :(

It's the sellers responsibility to ensure it arrives in the same condition as stated on the auction. Paypal/Ebay will transfer the funds back, HOWEVER....you then need to post it back (which IIRC, is £100 to South Korea)

so you could potentially lose £200 (£100 customs charges, £100 send it back)

this is becoming more and more of a risk imo :(
