I wonder what OCUK think about this big subject. Makes you think maybe they could be selling the Hazro a little cheaper? ;)

SO;

Achieva Shimian OR Yamakasi Catleap Q270?

cheers

What about the PCBANK model like MOOGLEY got (pics somewhere in this thread). I actually wish I had ordered that model as looking at the pics it looks quite nice and also the catleap looks like the stand is quite tall and the PCBANK's stand looks like it is quite low.

The stand on the PCBank is actually pretty good. The monitor sits low down and is quite stable. It's certainly no worse than most other monitors and it has a nice amount of tilt and swivel movement. The surround is a quite thick shiny black it looks a bit like a Samsung Tv it's by no means a looker but it does the job.

Ah yea, just looked up that model.

So i wonder which one out of the 3 people prefer. Does anyone know who produces these monitors? Are they a trusted company over there? Would it just be like me buying a hazro over here? I bet the sellers have suddenly seen a jump in sales due to this thread! :D

I doubt very much these monitors would pass any kind of CE inspections. I think my 3 year old could have done a better job putting it together.

Pretty sure they are all the same LG S-IPS panels which I think are A- rated

Ok thanks, I had a look at one of the ebay adverts. The English is completely broken but it does say something about the glass being attached to the bezel. I'm just wondering if it would be at all possible to remove this without affecting the screen behind. I'm assuming it's the same as the Hazro matte screen but I don't know for sure. Would be interesting to find this out and if Hazro sell bezel's as spare parts :D

Well I don't think I'll dip into one of these monitors just yet, the price is inviting, but it's definitely a risk on what you get, and not much info on warranty etc.

Ah ok, sorry man I'm confusing myself here.. Yeah basically I'd like to avoid buying anything without an anti-glare coating, I'm surrounded by shiny glass iMac screens and just glancing around the room the reflections bother me.

I'm %99 sure all the different Korean brands use the same screen's which are the gloss type without antiglare same as the apple displays. They do reflect quite badly but you get used to it and look through them, although bright sunlight is a bit of a pain.
