From the TFTCentral HZ27WC review
The panel itself is rated by LG.Display as having a 14ms ISO response time on paper, but with an overdrive impulse applied, Hazro have rated the screen with a 6ms grey to grey (G2G) response time figure

Same review also shows a measured input lag of only 8.8ms which is very low. The only monitor in the same graph with a significantly lower inputlag is the BenQ XL2410T @ 5.6ms. Just for comparison, the Dell u2711 is 30ms.

But that is normal for every monitor, lol. A lot of people have dead/stuck pixels and don't even notice it. That is why the Dell ultrasharp U2711 is £559 at Overclockers as it has a good warranty and a 'zero dead pixel' gaurantee. The DELL monitors that don't have the 'Ultrasharp' in the name don't have this dead pixel gaurantee so if you get a few dead pixels then it's tough luck (unless you buy it on the internet as you can send it back under the distance selling regulations).

its not just about pixels only tho is it.. its about ( in no particular order ) ease of return, inputs, stand, finish ,osd, reliability , longevity, build quality, rma policy, cost or return. so all those are in favour of DELL against is cost.. hmmmnnnn and if cost is all that matters then with a little reasearch i think ive found a rev09 which lets face it is recent dell u2711 new boxed 3 yr warranty for less than 400 quid will update when i can confirm it and link also would prefer a rev11 but heh ho if its not still there or they run out will still order a rev 10 or rev11 dell over a shiny box for half the price.

to many chances for me on these be great if everyone 100% but the longer this goes the more little gripes appear.

i think it was said earlier if they were worth the chance OC would have jumped on tha band wagon..

As someone asked in a message, Stand on PCBank and Viewing angle (Nice reflection)...:-)..

Totally agree, or maybe they didn't realise how many people would hear of these monitors and/or start buying them so fast. I'm sure if I was in the country they originate from, the return policy would be the norm, but as it's so far away for us, it's that risk that stops us? I may be wrong though.

Of course there are risks, it's simply a case of if you want to take the risk in the end. I would wager that there are FAR more people receiving perfect (you know what I mean) panels than those that have problems. Of course there are compromises, and that is reflected in the price you pay. It's entirely down to how risk averse you are.

Many people would much rather spend £550 on the Dell for the peace of mind it brings. Others like myself simply can't afford that and are willing to take a punt on these ones for significantly less money. For some it works and for others it's not so perfect but it does seem that even when things are going wrong people are getting refunds in a lot of cases (after a while, and some blood soaked hands :) )

On the monitor itself I am pretty surprised by how decent the stand is on the PCBANK, it is much more sturdy than I was hoping and whilst the monitor isn't likely to win any beauty contests it's far from being ugly. Again it's not the best constructed thing in the world but it's no worse than many of the other monitors I've owned in the last few years. Bottom line is the panel and it's excellent.

I can't get over the amount of people being picky

IT'S £200 FOR A 27" 2560X1440 IPS!!!!!!!!!!

You know what.....I bet if these korean sellers were doing them for fifty quid people would still moan

Ebay sellers (even those in Korea) have to abide by the same rules. If it turns up faulty you are fully entitled to a refund. Obviously you have to then get the monitor sent back at around £100.

This has been done to death. Don't like it...........DON'T BUY IT! It's not rocket science.

To be honest, those that don't want it.....why are you spending so much time even in this thread

I've bought one, it's fantastic. I'm buying another two when I can afford it.

wow, just had this :D:D:D
Refund information:
A full refund of US $356.00 was issued on 24 Apr, 2012. The refund includes the purchase price plus original P&P and was issued to the same payment method you used to pay for the item.
Please log in to PayPal and view the history page if you don't see it in your PayPal balance.

Not having a go M8, but I reckon BigClothCraft has washed his hands of you and won't want another order from you, as you are his worse nightmare buyer.

Fair enough you got a monitor with a dodgy connection, but you didn't him give a chance to fix the problem and broke the tempered glass and wrecked the panel trying to open the monitor up.

I doubt even John Lewis would have refunded in those circumstances.

The ebay feedback you gave him was only half the story and he may well have been telling the truth about the refund as you got it on the same day as he replied to your neg. You certainly should retract it if you can, it's a matter of fairness.

Glad you got it sorted though and certainly your experience was an education and worth knowing about.

You havent seen the message he sent me, it explains it all, he was very nice, so was i ;)

Well people who bought the catleap over on the other forum have been posting on how the monitor is with marks out of 10 and so far

32 people have voted 10/10
9 people have voted 9/10
2 people have voted 8/10
1 person has voted 7/10
1 person has voted 4/10
It seems the people

So I think with only 2 out of 48 people voting for a score under 8 then that is pretty good stats. The person who gave the score of 4/10 had a problem with the monitors backlight being very dull on the right hand side of the screen. Most people will score a 9 if they find a dead/stuck pixel.

i think some people are looking for that push to buy one. I decided not to, due to warranty. It's a forum after all.:p

This is true, it is a forum after all and if it weren't for this forum there is no way I would have had the confidence to have bought one so it works both ways, people who are sitting on the fence get additional info to base their decisions on and can then make as informed a choice as possible.

Oh and fair play to OCUK for continuing to allow this thread as was previously mentioned it is against the rules of the forum but they used some common sense and allowed it and I think it had benefited members tremendously, both those who decide to buy and those who decide they would rather pay the extra for the peace of mind they feel they get with buying from the UK.

Here are some internal shots of the PCBank 2700 super. The panel is LG. It's very cheap inside and there is a lack of glue on the caps hence why it is buzzing as I can stop the buzzing using manipulation. I will glue these at some point at least it's an easy fix.

These panels are undoubtedly promoting the sale of compatible components, as in my own case, I've spent hundreds on a new desktop, components purchased from OC, building a new system around a Catleap, so yes, well done OC, it was a good decision to allow this to roll on.

These monitors have certainly sparked quite a bit of interest. Positive and negative comments are important when any information gathered from the seller is in broken English. Yes for £200-£270 these monitors are a great deal but as there is no peace mind being covered by any sort of warranty and when the description reads 5 dead pixels is normal, it doesn't exactly fill me and a few others with a lot of confidence. Some people find it easier to part with the cash than others.. Nothing wrong with debating, if these are as good as most say they are I'm sure more of us will pluck up the courage and get one for ourselves.

I received a message from the cloth seller this morning. He confirmed that all these Korean branded monitors share the same glossy screen which I asked about yesterday. Hopefully the guy is replying to everyone and not just me. I read yesterday a few were waiting for a response from him.

Daft question but humour me. Would someone mind measuring the dual link DVI cable supplied with these monitors and telling me how long it is please?

If no one has answered by the time I get home I will measure it for you, but they aren't very long (at least the one I got) and they aren't very good quality either. But at least they are cheap to replace :)

Thanks mate. I've just moved my home office around and need a longer DVI cable.

As a result I'm tempted to buy a longer dual link cable now ready for when I get one of these monitors but if the supplied cable is fairly long I might just wait.
