Oh dear my screen is no longer operating. Just turned it on and it flashed green and now nothing is displayed. I get the connected noise in windows if I pull the DVI lead out and put it in but the screen just has the Red light and nothing else.
I have tested with my old monitor and the pc is working fine and the monitor PSU has a green light.
Time to email Bigcloth chap and see where he wants to go with this....

:confused::mad:

Yeah its a bit gutting as it was fine for a week. Just done a few checks with my meter and everything is getting power from the psu board so it seems either the panel driver board or panel is dead... It's horrid going back to a 1080p TN screen after this for a week, everything is so big... :D

Bad luck Moogley, hope clothy sorts you out a new one/refund. I have wondered about the power supply having 4 pins plus the outer ring which is usually the negative.

EDIT: if he sends you another one at least you will have the packagetracker websites to look forward to.

I have mailed him via ebay so will see what he comes up with. I'm hoping he will trust me that it is dead as I don't fancy sending it back to Korea for £75 odd quid.
Will be happy with a replacement, always willing to give something a second chance could well just have been my monitor that was duff.

He was very helpful when mine turned up damaged. He gave me his DHL account details so I phoned them up and arranged it to be sent back to Korea at his expense. Sorry to hear about yours failing - I'm not sure what's worse, having it arrived borked or conking out after a week!

just found a stuck pixel on mine, ah well its taken me 3 days to notice it! Not the end of the world, you can only really see it when there is block colour over it.

Just hung mine on my monitor arm and it is so much better. I was a bit concerned about hanging such a heavy monitor on an arm but tbh I think I could hang my car of this mount it is so solid and the steel is very thick..

It's so much better not looking down at the screen...

Can the arm be adjusted without needing to undo any bolts? I am looking at the cantilever offering by them, but only want it if I can adjust the arm without needing tools.

You can rotate the screen without adjustment. The height and tilt require you to loosen the bolts. If you had a light monitor you could loosen the bolts enough to be able to move and hold the screen but as mine weighs a ton they are done up uber tight.
The cantilever one might be different ?

Cheers for quick reply, I am not bothered about the height or angle adjustment, just the rotation. Looks like I may have to invest. :)

(I guess it might be worth me messaging them, just to make sure the cantilever one is the same! :))

No worries you can rotate no problem. I would be a little weary of putting one of these screens on a canitlever arm as they weigh a ton. I went for a single arm as it's stronger and can be set at the correct depth by offsetting the arm on the desk ?

I'll only be sticking a 24 inch iyima on it, so would be okay (I should hope).

There is only one review I can find for the cantilever option thought, which although it is positive, its still only one review... hmm..

Sorry if I'm a bit late to the party, but I've just seen this thread mentioned elsewhere, and the idea of a ~£200 27" 2560*xxxx display had me reaching for my credit card, let alone with LED & IPS!

I'd be using it for plugging into my desktop (has an ATi 4830 so should be ok) mainly, but i'd also like to plug it into my Xbox 360 (If thats even possible? My 360 only has VGA as the HDMI port is dead) but it's not a dealbreaker.

I'm already using a bunch of Omnimount WS3 desktop VESA mounts so the screen has to support VESA 100*100, but it also means the mounts they come with aren't important.

I've seen many brands mentioned, but it seems like they are all the same panels in different cases?

I do play games sometimes, but it's mainly for desktop use so 100/120Hz doesn't really interest me so much.

Looks aren't massively important tbh

Ones I've found so far (in order of price)
Achieva ShiMian QH270-Lite (~£200)
Yamakasi Catleap (~£215)
PCBank PB2700 (~£215)

Anything I should know to tell them apart?

120hz.net seems to have a couple of profiles kicking about, but site was down earlier today for me.

Yes. Server was transferred. Name server didn't want to play nice. Issue should be resolved within hours depending on when your ISP updates dns. You can still access the site directly through the server address: http://184.95.40.46

Also, stay tuned for more info on a limited number of overclockable monitors becoming available as of the 7th of this month.

They all use the same LG panel, so the choice between them all just comes down to which of the bezel / stand styles you prefer.
