Mine arrived today :D

Ordered the pixel perfect version on Friday evening and it arrived this morning amazing delivery especially as it was coming from Korea, will report back later with pictures and feedback.


Also for anyone who is thinking of ordering or in the process of ordering mine came through customs perfectly fine, labeled as gift with a value of $150

They originally had been putting $30/$50 and they got stopped by customs, who wouldn't stop something that big and heavy coming through with that value on it!

I can't remember the value before import tax is due but iirc it's around the £130 mark, so if you stay under that by a margin at the current conversion rate you shouldn't have a problem!


I'll try and get a lend of my brothers camera to get some decent pictures, if not it shall have to be from my Galaxy SII.


Hurry up work and finish, I want to play with my new toy!

Hmm I emailed the seller and they confirmed they'd marked it as a gift (I think, the English wasn't so great), they didn't mention the value they'd put on though. I hope it was more than $50 and less than £130!

SGS2 photos will be fine as long as you have enough natural light!
 
My seller asked me how much to mark the value as, I asked them to put £100 which I figured should stop customs getting too suspicious while keeping below the import duty threshold. We'll see if that's worked for me or not in a few days...

Read on another forum, some people had issues with greensum and customs, they where putting low values on and it was holding them up.

Be prepared for your "glass front" to fall off,

So many people have had it happen its held on with double sided tape!



For anyone else thinking about buying one, I can let you know the seller I used via trust.
 
oh my, took some pictures of the unpacking, will get them up asap.

All I can say is WOW!

Flawless panel, no stuck or dead pixels, just need to do a bit of calibrating now and it should be perfect.
 
My monitor hasn't been marked as sent yet so I've asked the seller to put £100 GBP as the value. Hopefully I'm not to late! Also I hope the message doesn't get misunderstood through translation!

Some bad news,

I decided to do a bit of cable tidy upping!

And I ran the dvi cable behind my desk and pushed my desk in quite tight against my wall and I think I've nicked one of the cables inside, beware the dual link dvi cable that comes with this is ****!

Now I need to go hunting to see if I have a duallink dvi cable :'(

Wow they must be bad quality if they break that easy, bad luck. Pics with the monitor off are still welcome :P

You poor thing, tax will be extra salt in the wound! Really hope mine hasn't been posted yet so the value can get changed!

There's quite a few to choose from, they just have different stands & cases. Ebay is the place to get em, I think the PCBank ones were the cheapest at £217 but they're all similar. Searching 2560x1440 on the site brings up a lot of them IIRC.
