Thanks for the info, my machine had slowed down a little bit, looking for the driver after BIOS update. Driver is loaded, and all is well.

According to Intel, ’Intel® Smart Connect Technology is designed to update programs by periodically waking your computer from sleep/standby mode for a short time. This function works with applications that automatically get their data from the Internet, such as Microsoft Outlook*, Microsoft Windows* Live Mail and Seesmic’.

Been running this board on 2.10 BIOS with my 2700k for about a month now and its rock solid stable - even has a reduction on volts too!! :)

Anyways - 2.20 BIOS out now - check out the dehumidifier function lol:

1. Add Dehumidifier Function.
2. Modify for Windows8 shut down behavior.
3. Update CPU code.
4. Modify i-Rock PS2 keyboard issue.
5. Improve discrete VGA card vBIOS compatibility.

I'm on sandy.

If you upgrade the BIOS to 2.x and leave the settings alone you'll get an unknown device (something to do with either intel management/smart or something - can't remember) but installing the newly available drivers resolves it - or you can just switch off the new settings in the BIOS (sorry I forget what they were - but it was defo new intel-ly stuff!)

Just tried the new 2.20 bios for Ex4 gen3 and I do have the "unknown device" in device manager!
Going to disable some things as I saw many new additions in bios.
Apart from that I did manage to lower the voltage for 4.6GHz.
