*** Zelda: Breath of the Wild ***

At the beginning of the game, yep! Stuff you need to make the game more manageable is expensive. I was worried about selling stuff in case I needed it later. Right now I am only running around with 1450rupee but I haven't found a need for more just yet.

Well you can't do any of these farming tricks in the early game.

Never had a problem with money and I never tried farming it. Early on I just bought arrows mostly then I had too many of those as well.

Unlocking the last fairy hurt a bit!

The only time I needed money is when I went to a new area and needed the clothing, because finding Rupees in the wild is like gold dust, so you are never cash rich, only resource rich. You will find the odd chest with 50 or 20 rupees here and there but to get 2,000 rupees for a whole outfit will require a little farming meat, cooking them and selling.

Once I found the snowball game however it's just so much easier, dragon scales needs to wait, needs arrows, needs bows even and need skill. Snowball game is just quick and easy to be repeated.

Dragons require less skill than bowling. Albiet it does cost arrows and bows.

I didn't find it hard to get money, just got bored of cooking.

Very true.

Tbh I've not felt a need for farming money. Although my approach to the game is different to others so it's not often I need to buy expensive things. Normally when I go to a new area which requires special armor.

You realistically don't need to farm in the game. I only did a bit after I had completed 90% of the game so that I could buy random stuff I didn't need.

The game is well balanced not to need it at all.

You don't need half the stuff you find and cooked food sells for loads of you just need a few thousand more on occasion.

I've never understood people trying to intentionally unbalance games through glitches and farming.

Can you get more slots for cooked foods? i keep running out

Ingredients has a counter, so you can have apple slot with 999 apples but cooked food takes up its own slot so there is a max number.

So I just eat anything straight away that gives just 1 or 2 hearts, or ignore them when i see them around the place. Only carry dishes that gives max hearts + bonus hearts or food that gives effects boost.

Incorrect, simple cooked foods all share a slot. Cooked apples for example.

after being reasonably satisfied with my Hyrule field progress and achieving some more side quests I decided to head South West which I guessed was Gerudo (given the last objective point on the DBs) I made it to the stable and Oasis, was glad to find more side quest NPCs on the way. :)

Looking forward to progressing to Gerudo and exploring the desert. I've already seen on the map something I need to photograph :) (Leviathan bones) will make a big change from Hebra!

Now at 84 Shrines, 92 korok seeds (thank you mask)

All comes down to preference really. I have a butt tonne of stuff I could no doubt sell for a fortune, however, throughout the game I didn't dare sell any of it because I didn't know what would be required for armour upgrades and I felt the need to max all armour for the sake of it, so rather than sell something only to find I need to get a load back (as unless you use a guide you do not know what you need, and even then there are so many things you would unlikely remember), I focused on farming things that I knew I didn't need - so Snowball game, gourmet meats, dragon horns. Better to do stuff I know where I can get more if required than to end up having to hunt elusive stuff because I sold it (like those damn Smotherwing butterflies).

For others it may be a case of just wanting lots of money because they like using the Master Shield and want to keep replacing it. Understandable, it is a classic Zelda item which in my case tragically spent its entire life in my bag mostly unused because I didn't want it to break (I did use it when Guardian farming). Sure, I guess constantly replacing the shield would be 'cheating' but lets face it, you didn't need it and combat is hardly a focus in the game so advantage is minimal but feel good factor of using the cool shield is priceless.

I just sold a few gems , there's loads in goron! Now walking round with 17,000+ rupees :D

I do need to unlock the last fairy though and get the guardian armour
