I just set up mine. Wow talk about bright.Fantastic colors.Not one dead pixel mine says on it SA-LTM240M2-L01. Is it any good :confused:

Only place I can find it is in the US for around $1150 so it would be £650+ here.

So these are shipping with all sorts of various panels from various manufacturers? For me that's a problem.. My luck is NEVER that good.

Anyway to ensure you get a good panel? It has to be able to be calibrated well, so doesn't nessecarily need to be spot on out of the box.

any va panel is good mate

All come from 400quid dells (minimum) to those eizos.

How odd.. Fair enough! Seems a bit odd you'de fork out for a Dell then? The panel is the only thing i look at.. Doesn't have to be particularly aesthetically pleasing.

I've not seen a dead pixel on this monitor, but from what I've heard, it is the size of a spec of dust. Do you not feel it would be a little pedantic to return the monitor because of a dead pixel, the size of a spec of dust?

Funny you say size of a spec of dust Sunama. Checked again when I got home from work. It was a spec of dust. Brushed it off and everything is fine now. Thanks for your inadvertent help. I agree though one dead pixel would be fine away. Was just wondering.

I only noticed it when using UDPixel though.

so does this monitor only come with nice shiny panels found in stuff twice its price and them some, or is it possible to get a rotten budget panel aswell?

I do not know the actual measurements of a spec of dust, but yes its pretty damn small.

The only time I notice it is when on a white background so it shouldn't bother me really.

The worst panel you will get is still good, unless you get the TN (even that isn't too bad) but they'll replace it if you do.

Just notice on the display settings that the monitor is recognised as Generic PnP monitor. I search the net a bit to find drivers but I couldn't. I even tried the Benq FP241W but didn't work. Any ideas?

You dont need drivers for this monitor.

Obviously your monitor is working fine so drivers wouldnt make any difference.
