So do you find that the pixel pitch is a bit large then? I thought it would be ok. Nice to hear that the black depth is not that bad. The reason I ask as im looking for another monitor as I sent back by 30" Hazro due to being damaged in transit (although I used it for 2 weeks). The 30" size if im honest was a little too large for me, I did find myself having to move my head quite a bit whilst navigating through applications etc as you have got so much work space with such a high res and physical panel size. Films and games looked good on it though.

I'm just thinking that 26" could be the sweet spot for me.
 
sorry to hear the bad news scoobie:( how bad was the damage??
i only ask as i ordered mine around the same time as you and even tho there was a crease down the outside of the box like something was leaned against it the panel was when box was unsealed, ...unscathed and completely undamaged or touched.
......maybe they would be wise to add an external box as well to double the thickness for transport??

as i may have mentioned i was only after a fast gaming screen anyway and not for photo editing or such as was due to critism on such things as colours being wide gammut intense like the dell 3007-hc.
i can say i was happily and pleasantly suprised at how the coulours looked compared to the dull/now off putting and washed out attempts of my laptop and dual tn screens:D

and in response to the blacks ... from what i have seen the hazro 30" is in the top listing for black reproduction even baddass said he was suprised.

hope you have some luck with the 26i.... i was thinking of getting either another 30" or 2x 2007fp to use in portrait mode on the sides:D

I'm actually quite liking the pixel pitch!

It makes things quite large in FPS games for example and easy to do headshots.

The more I've tweaked and used this screen, the more I like it. I played Unreal Tournament 3 tonight and it looked absoutely incredible! The image is so solid and the lack of input lag really helps playing this sort of game.

I'm still getting used to moving my head around a lot when web browsing...I still find that a bit much at the moment.

The black depth certainly seems fine....I can see the 2nd black square on the lagom LCD tests at http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/black.php#blacktest.png for example.

The colours still look "not quite right" somehow on the desktop (greens and reds appear a bit 'punchy') but look very nice in game.

The screen is quite bright but no where near the "excessively bright" that other people have claimed.

Gonna test the component inputs with my Wii tomorrow and see what that looks like on this screen :)

Just stay away from Viewsonic vx2835w and Hannspree HF-289HJB both are 27.5". They have the same panel and I made the mistake of buying the vx2835w. Couldn't get the colors right and it felt like I was drunk playing games at 1920x1200. Proof of the input lag was when I played the same game on the ds/haz 30".

If you care about low input lag and good color representation I think you made the right choice with the 30" ds/haz.
 
About two months ago the monitors power supply went bang, after contacting Hazro and having the power supply replaced, it seems evident that the power supply damaged the monitor. The monitor doesn't receive any signal at all, I've tried various computers with the same result. I contacted Hazro about this, and after a couple of weeks of no reply I contacted OCUK, who told me it's Hazro that deals with faulty products, and to contact them.

So, I contacted Hazro again and told them that OCUK had directed me to them because they deal with the RMA's on monitors - however still no reply. It's now 7 weeks on and I've gotten nowhere, I last rang OCUK about 20 minutes ago and they told me that I need to contact Hazro about getting a replacement monitor and that they cannot deal with this via RMA.

Can anyone confirm who I'm actually meant to contact about this ? :/ As you can see I'm just going around in circles.
 
I'd probably be investigating doing a chargeback via your credit card company as the next course of action if neither OcUK nor Hazro will help you.

Damn I'm sorry your going through all this. That just plain sucks Hazro is playing it out like that. When I was using the monitor under load I noticed that the power supply got really hot. So I took out my trusty multimeter and tested the temp via the temp prob. That sucker got up to 106F and very warm to the touch. I figured that I could just buy another PS off ebay as they do sell them if you search the model #. I didnt figure it blowing out the panel though:(

Pls keep us informed on this matter.

Your contract is with OcUK hence they are legally bound to help you. Please read into the Sales of Goods Act. They will need to contact Hazro on your behalf and get it repaired, and if they cannot do it in a reasonable amount of time (28 days is generally regarded as the limit) you should be entitled to a refund or replacement at their discretion.

With regards to the black depth on TFT central they said:

HZ26W's original reading of 0.56 cd/m2. Subjectively, it was impossible to detect the first 8 shades of grey on the scale from 0 - 255 (255 being pure white). I followed the useful tests here, where the first square you could distinguish on the HZ26Wi was number 9.

But if you can see the 2nd square then the screen/firmware panel must have been updated surely as that is quite a difference?

I really would like to buy this screen but want to be sure!

Thanks for the info, I'll be sure to demand action from OcUK then. I shouldn't have to pay to send the faulty monitor back to them either right?
 
I can see the black on the second square on that lagom.nl test on my FW 2.1 HZ26Wi though the difference is very very slight indeed.

During the morning when I have a window behind me with pathetically thin blinds then I can only see from square #6 upwards unless I sit really close and block out the external light with my hands. This is with brightness and contrast both at 50.
 
I received my Hazro 24" monitor back 1,5 week ago. They swapped it for a new one. Most problems seem to be fixed. However, the green snow is still visible.

:(

What are the best birghtness/contrast/sharpness settings for the 24" with the 2.1 firmware? I'm struggling to find a mix that is vivid but doesn't hurt my eyes when a white background is displayed.
 
If you're getting green lines etc then have you tried another dvi port? that fixed it for me!

I use 50brightness and 6 contrast. I find this gives a luminance of 117-121cd/m2 which is exactly what is recommended for a TFT output.

On the Lagom monitor tests I can see all the black level squares whilst on the white level test can see all but the last one. The 2nd to last can be seen if you sit back a bit.

Cheers. And that's meant to be 60, right? 6 is a bit on the dark side :p

Does sharpness do anything at all? I've left it on 57.
 
6, not 60 LOL! 60 will burn your eyes!

As said, on mine 6 contrast gives 120~ cd/m2 brightness !
