Hazro - Any Update?

Part of the problem is that 1920x1200 is pushing the limit of what you can bung down a single DVI cable, and DVI isn't the best interface around from a technological point so the tolerances on either end of the connection are so razor thin with regards to voltage and clock that you can sometimes get these green speckles - the Apple Cinema Display's have them too. You need to slightly reduce the refresh rate being sent by the graphics card and all should be good again.

This is one of the reasons DisplayPort is a much better format.

DP will be almost a 1k upgrade tbh but a worthy one - new gfx card, new monitor but next time round 28" minimum!

Not for me, the HP has a DisplayPort and my next lappy (ThinkPad R500) has a DisplayPort out. :D

But indeed a worthy one, the ability to daisy chain monitors will be pretty awesome.

Strange, I had the issue on DVI 2 on my 4870 but not DVI 1 and on 260 GTX I don't have the issue at all.

Since you got me to buy these monitors, i don't think you will get me to waste more money by buying expensive nvidia cards. :p

hi everyone :)

can anyone tell me why my 2 30" hazros both show 59hz refresh rate in vista and yet the manual specificaly states 60hz??

and is it safe for the screen?

using vista ultimate 64.

thanks.

The ATI drivers offer both 59Hz and 60Hz refresh rates under Vista (not sure if they do under XP or not)

I'd change it to 60Hz unless you have speckles/snow/blue-line issues

using nvidia cards and unlike the 24/26 it isnt affected by snow and i did try going into resolution panel and trying to chang to custum refresh of 60 but that secions mostly greyed out...must be the new nvidia driver i got the other week.

but from what i can see i havent had any problems at 59 just wondered if it was the norm??

Hi

I'm searching for a Hazro HZ24Wi, , but overclockers haven't got now in stock. Anyone is interested in selling their hazro?
;)

Maybe if you're not happy with it, or you'd like to go to a 26" or 30"...(then contact me in my email)

P.D.¿is it wrong if i tell this here in the forum?

Hi chaps...still enjoying my HZ26Wi and now I'm thinking I've hit the jackpot with Windows 7 Beta.

I just downloaded and installed the 64-bit version and it's pretty cool but I've been really excited to see that Windows 7 has wide-gamut support built into it to handle gamuts above the standard 72%!!

Linkies:

http://news.softpedia.com/news/Windows-7-High-Color-Support-98741.shtml

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Features_new_to_Windows_7#New_color_depths.2Fgamuts

Anyone got any comments about this or have Windows 7 as well to try it out?

I'm not sure if this is automatic or if you have to select it and/or if you need a separate driver from Hazro or not?

From the outset (unless I'm specifically looking for it) the colours would appear less oversatured and more natural but who am I to comment - this comes from the guy that thinks the 9300k colour setting (or at least 7500k) looks the best! :D

(p.s. the HZ26Wi is awesome to play the Wii on :P)
