*** The 2010 Gym Rats Thread ***

Well I have 162 days until my PL comp. Actually rather nervous about it as my lifts are not that big to be honest but 23 weeks is a long time to get strong, plan on adding 5-10k a week on squats/dead lifts until comp.

What program you following in that time then?

Moved into the new house now so hopefully will get the gym gear set up this weekend, following that i'll cancel my gym membership and switch onto a four day split for the first time ever

I did do a session despite being ill...and managed 4x5 of 90kg squat, 4x5 of 45kg overhead press, 4x5 55kg pendlay row and some arm work. You were right, was quite a struggle but managed to do it and feeling A OK today! :) Glad I didn't miss my mon/weds/fri!

What 4-day split you thinking of Wardie? Wouldn't mind trying a split, squatting 3x a week is a killer!

Who would wear OcUK Gym t-shirts if I got some for sale? :D

i doubt anyone would, unless they were free. its basically free advertising for you guys.

plus a pack of 3 plain white t shirts from primark is like £5, i know because i just bought 2 packs for training in and wearing under my designer gear. its the first time ive ever bought cheap/value clothing and i can see why a lot of people now shop in primark, some amazing deals to be had.

I'd wear almost any t-shirt if it was free, while in the gym.
Happy to give free advertising tbh.

Anabolic whey! LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL! :D :D :D

You laugh mate, but unfortunately people do think that

I was in Tesco the other day looking at getting an exercise ball to sit on at home rather than my PC chair, where I slouch horribly. Anyway, two guys down there looking at the over priced whey, and one of them said to his mate:

"I used have loads of that stuff mate, had to sell it though innit, my arms were massive after a week, had to sell it as my missus hated how I looked, luckily they went back to normal"

I have a mate who thinks just like that, He swears he used to be Massive and strong but he's the biggest couch potato in the world, And I doubt he's done a single day in a gym in his entire life!

As Morba said, it's those damn Krispy Kremes !!!

Decided to change things up today and I've started on stronglifts, felt nice doing powercleans/hangs, gonna be lovely squatting every other day ! :p
