Yeah that score is meaningless because the other players were probably putting their team objective ahead of their own personal K/D ratio.

CTF is hardly well known for having either great players or great ratios unless you're a spawn camper. Try playing the objective.

Clearly your score indicates you weren't.

If any of you are finding the game boring, join a clan.

As a side note, been playing down under while visiting my brother in Brisbane and the standard is allot lower - even though I can seem to get used to his Razer mouse. I want my G5 back!

I love CTF. (well, enjoy most tbh) Often get the most captures, sacrificing a K-D of, on average, 9-25 ish lol
Mainly though as the other players either camp at their own flag or are just after kills.

Was playing this last night and it seemed to play a lot smoother for some reason, not sure why but the stuttering was all gone. Also got my first ban from a server last night for camping the stairs on nuketown

I said I gave up on the objective on that match as others were being useless, so just kept killing people and moving around the map.
I'm just stating at how boring it is getting due to the majority of people that play it.

Yeah, but the same can be said about MW2. There were not enough people on that. Huge maps that would have gone well in CoD4 but with hardly any players, which meant lots of running round the map not finding anyone.

Especially in 8 player FFA!

I think Black Ops has it right.

Im having a bit of an issue with blops at the minute, when i launch the multiplayer exe from steam the screen go's black and stays like this, have to hit ctrl/alt del and bring up taskbar, end the blops process to get back to desktop, this doesnt happen in any other steam game i have, mw2, mafia 2 and l4d2.

Sounds like you need to reinstall the game. there is a way to do this without a re-download... but deleting a file in the steam folder... can't remember exactly. Do a google.

Steam games don't get installed as such. If there is anything wrong with his files then verifying the cache should find the problem.

You dont just download a folder and it runs from there... "preparing for first time launch" installs the game... adds all the reg pokes it needs.

I think you need stop steam, to go to this folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps or this folder if you are still on 32 bit C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps and delete the .GCF or .NCF files that releate to the game you are having issues with.

The next time you try and start the game it will go back through its install procedure ("preparing game for first launch") It may say it is going to downlaod it all again, but it's just an integrity check of your files so wont take long.

If that stuff wasn't already done then Steam would know, and it would do it before running the black ops executable.

Chances are it works for him now anyway, I mean a working game doesn't usually corrupt itself into a non-working one if he hasn't done anything to it.
