** Summer Transfer Window 2011/12 Season Rumours/Signings **

Don't know if mentioned but Arsenal apparently put in 3 bids for Reina in the summer, don't know how cecil didn't bite their hands off if it was anything over 5 million.
If Reina didn't say he wanted to leave why would they entertain the bid? Should Utd bid for Reina over the summer and he says he wants to talk terms with Utd then they might do things differently.

Bad sounds coming from the 'ITKs'(not reliable source but the guy calling it got our January window pretty much spot on) about Reina, hopefully we could get Neuer(sp) or someone as a replacement.
Although if there's one player I'd never want to lose it's reina.

If it's who I think you mean, he got **** all spot on. He claimed there was no ****ing chance Torres wanted to leave or would be allowed to leave and he changed his Suarez story every ****ing day; the deal must have been done around 10 different times.

99% of these "itk's" are full of ****.

Reina leaving is far from straight forward. I very much doubt he's clear in his mind whether he wants to leave (he's said himself that he wants to see how the season pans out and see the intentions of the club), then there's the question as to whether anybody will be willing to pay the £20m it will take to get him. £20m's a lot of money for a keeper.

Apparently interest from Mancini in Andrea Pirlo today!

Give me strength, our main problem has been pace this year. People like Barry and Vieira have slowed us down so much this year. I just hope this is a rumour because as much as he can hit a freekick and pass all over the pitch he has no pace now.

The guy everyone treats as a god on rawk with his opinion.

Don't recall him saying Torres didn't want to leave and we 100% wouldn't sell him, be interested to see that.

Suarez one yes, deal was back and fourth, for all we know it was too.

He did say it and iimn, he also said Adam was a done deal too.

The Suarez stuff was cringe worthy though. Not only did he claim it was done every other day but when people caught him out with his various claims of the value of the deal, he started making up some **** about 1 figure was in euros and the other £'s etc :o

He's full of ****.

epic double post.

Edit: might aswell use this useless space.

Can't see transfer forum atm, but from his posts i see no indication of him saying Torres wanted to stay and how he expected him to go from the posts i can see as soon as the bid from chelsea came.
Also didn't he quote himself saying 'bad noises coming from the Torres camp' in december?

I'll pay closer attention in the summer, got the team selections right, although woy might aswell have announced them to the press when he was in charge.
Also called Suarez not pulling out because Torres was going other way, although i think anyone could have.

Be interesting to read his transfer forum posts again, will get the chance in summer.

He's full of **** Purdy, trust me.

Look at his posts for gods sake. 1 minute he's saying Reina wants to leave then 2 posts later he's saying Reina wants indication from the owners and that the owners aim to impress.

He's covering himself if he stays or goes. He knows **** all. Look at the players he claims we're interested in; he's named so many (and all have been linked in the press), he's bound to be right on 1 of them.

And although he got the team right some of the time, he got it wrong just as often. 'His' team was always the same as the lfcglobe site (which is also full of ****).

We shall see.
I didn't listen to a word of what he said in January and was pretty sure we wouldn't sign Suarez at all, and probably just get Adam for a ridiculous price.

I'm kind of clinging to his word over stuff to do with Reina, no player bigger than the club etc etc. Still hard to take one the best one is potentially going though.

Interesting that his teams are the same as lfcglobe. Think i'll ban myself from rawk in the summer or i'll implode.

EDIT: Curious to who you'd like to sign and how you'd like to see our team line up next year btw if you don't mind.

Spurs have a lot of people 'itk' (fast becoming a seriously annoying acronym) who also spouted rubbish a while back.

They're probably tied in with journalists in order for some sort of substance behind stupid rumour headlines.

Seriously, I rarely venture into transfer window/rumour threads - why can't people just wait until a signing is announced? Is the need that bad to find out a half day sooner?

Don't cling to anybody's word because the likelihood is that no decision has been made and even if Reina has decided he wants to leave, there's 20 million reasons that make it far from certain that he'll go.

As for who we should sign; no point naming names because I have no idea how much money we've got and how much players are going to cost. Our priorities should be signing as good a left back and left winger as we can.

Beyond that, assuming Konchesky, Poulsen, Jovanovic and Cole leave, we'll need another fullback, a DM and another winger.

edit: I'd imagine we'll be in the market for a CB (with either or both of Soto and Skrtel leaving) also and possibly even a striker or a 3rd winger/attacking midfielder if N'gog leaves too.

I used to enjoy reading that stuff, then I realised just how much of it is utter rubbish.

It's that time of the year when that ******* three letter acronym comes up in every other post. Seriously please stop using it for the sanity of humanity.

In my dream world we would sign Simon Kjaer , Keisuke Honda and Steven Defour. :)

Personally think there is a chance of two or three gk's going for around £20m (Reina, De Gae and Neuer , with Dutch no1 being the cheap option at £10-15m)

Givne the position (and the money changing hands for untested players in top teams like Saurez, Carroll and several others) £20m for Reina's experience and with still 10 years possibly more is small fry. In fact given the similar price for De Gae and Neuer, Reina is an absolute bargain (getting his vast experience of EPL and CL for free)

I still think Arsenal will be the only ones in the running (unless Chelsea / Spurs step in)

Its looking like Neuer is going nowhere, he said yesterday that he has no desire to leave Germany and the only time he will go abroad "is on holiday" :D

Maybe Reina, De Gea and Akinfeev moving though?

If Torres was 50mil and Carroll was 35, I want 70 for Reina please since LFC like to deal in ridiculous money.
Oh not really into transfer dealings myself or know a lot (evidently), what's the odds a club would have over 16 or so targets for one window(obviously some as backup choices.)?

Could well go to Bayern though (I heard about the fans not wanting him but that could easily change)

To go straigt into the 1st team squad , I would say thats unlikely (even allowing for 3 choices for each player, ie 5 + positions to fill). Including youth targets etc this could well be entirely possible.

Most clubs (I would suggest) rarely buy 4 players for the main squad, probably as much down to money (and rising cost of majority of players) as it is difficult to assimilate so many different players into the squad at once.

Chelsea and City have both exceeded this relatively recently, but they dont need to play by the usual rules either lol.

Depending on what happens with the Berba situation currently, I can see the possibility of Utd seriously considering all of the following - a gk, full-back /centre half , midfielder, wide left attacker and a striker - but ending up with 3 or less (before considering possibility of other 1st teamers being sold)

If his get out clause is 20 he will never go for 70. I would think its quite likely that a club, especially a big one would have 16 or more targets for one window. Doesnt mean they will go for all of them , but just like interviewing for a job they will have a whole lot more potential candidates than positions. They may well have 16 names on a shortlist, it would just be how many of those 16 they actually decided to move for, it certainly wouldnt be all 16, more a case that they would have a shortlist of 16 with a view to realistically signing 3 or 4 of them.
