Completely forgot he would only have 12 months left. Would certainly mean he would be cheaper but I still don't think he's the type of player we should be looking at if we want to move forward.
Maybe the player of 4 seasons ago that managed 17 assists in the league but since then he's gone backwards and doesn't appear to offer much of a threat other than when tackled in the oppositions penalty box
There's better options than Young around but he'd still be a big improvement on and offer us something different to the players we've got in the wide positions.
It all depends on what sort of money we're going to have to spend in the summer and how we decide is the best way to spread over the 5+ players I suspect we'll sign in the summer. Young for sub £15m would be decent value and might enable us to spend more improving other positions. If we could pick up Young and N'Zogbia (for example) for ~£25m, I'd rather we did that than spend £30m on 1 player like Hazzard.
