I think that's a mistake: 256 I think is 256-bit memory interface; all the 5850's have a 128GB/s memory bandwidth. The MSI couldn't have 256GB/s when it's running the same amount of memory at the same speed. After all, the 5870's only got 153.6GB/s...

I'm not aloud to insult you but If I were I would say you are a buffoon, please don't ever give advise on ANYTHING unless you know what you're talking about. Seriously.

All 5850's have a 256bit Memory bus. If it had a 128bit Bus it would make it a 5770, which it is not.

To be fair, he was going on what's in OCUK's specs..

On another matter, does anyone at OCUK know whether these cards support voltage control? Highly tempted by them, but want to be able to oc.
 
I think Gibbo has some compromising pictures of the senior management at ATI and Nvidia.

I can't think how else he is managing to knock out some of these deals.

I have an older corsiar 450W psu, its still good but only has a single 6 pin pci-e cable. I take it this card uses 4 x 8 pin connectors yes? Would one of those 6pin to dual 8pin pci-e adapters work ok?
 
I joined Overclockers a week ago.... had no intention of getting a new card.

A 5850 is now on order.... and a couple of freinds are on it too.

Forums are also great for the 'must have' culture - I've been a victim of many!.. or my wallet has :D

Breaks my heart to say I have canceled my 5850 pre-order and ordered a XFX5870 due to OCuk's exclusive 2 year Warranty.

The xtra 1 year protection means a lot to me.. It's a shame I was rather taken by the Sapphire.
