Ashley Young is a far more complete player than Nani, he'll flourish at OT, but might initially find it hard not to be the billy-big-boots he fancied himself at Villa. You'll note there's no furore from the Villa fans following his departure as there was with Barry and Milner - many are glad to see him go.
Marc Albrighton: Step forward.
To be fair I think a lot of the reason theres less of an issue with Young leaving is, it was always inevitable and frankly he is really more than good enough to play in the top teams.
With Milner and Barry you had players joining for a club that at the time weren't any better, were joining for the money alone, and were players that frankly should have been pretty lucky to play for a club as good as Villa were. Its like Denilson saying, sorry Arsenal, I want to go somewhere to win things. Henry tells us that, its fine, good luck, same with Fabregas, Denilson, Diaby types tell you that, you want to figure out a way to get away with murder
People really like to dislike Young, no idea why, yet considering how much absolute and ridiculous love this country has for certain England players, Young has assisted or scored the vast majority(I keep forgetting, I think its now 7 out of the last 9) goals England have scored, and him coming on massively changed how good England looked. He's basically Englands best player by a country mile right now, if that was Rooney, Theo(how, I have no idea), Milner, people would be raving about how brilliant he really is, with Young its..... meh.
