Yes I saw Albrighton last season, I saw him start the season very well but then hardly figure once Bent was signed

TBH I'm not going to continue on with you and keep dragging this thread off topic, judging by other people's comments on you over the last couple of pages it seems fairly obviously that I'm not alone in thinking you ain't got a clue what you're on about so I'll leave you'll there

Hold on I'm going to e-mail the PFA, FA and FIFA to ask how they come up with the Player of the Year award given that they are comparing players in different positions which apparently is impossible according to Tom84 :p

According to who, seems like most people think YOU aint got a clue

Plus can tell you never saw Albrighton last season as he didnt hardly figure once bent was signed at all, he was consistently good every time he did play more or less..............now run along.

No love. I'd rather not in all honesty but he seems most likely from rumours which in turn means we've probably shown no interest at all.

I think thats probably the case, Arsenal need a strong centre back, the media are just trotting out the most immobile agricultural defender in the league.

He would get raped in the current Arsenal side with the high line they play, oh you'de be fantastic at set pieces and defending corners, but you would be all over the place on the deck.

Looks like Brighton will complete the signing of Craig Mackail-Smith today for £3m. Can't quite believe that we're signing these types of players after the dark days of groundsharing with Gillingham and playing at the Withdean.

Things are finally looking bright again for Brighton. :p

All aboard the Gus Bus!

Without touching on the popularity contest (you need only look at this page for the consensus on you) and getting back to football and Albrighton since Bent was signed/start of Feb Albrighton started a whole massive 5 games, followed by picking up a lowly 8 minutes against Fulham, 24 minutes against Stoke, 5 minutes against West Brom & 45 minutes against Wigan and not featuring whatsoever in any of the other games during the second half of the season

So no he hardly featured whatsoever once Bent was signed in comparison he pretty much started every game up until Bent was signed

Which of us exactly saw more of him last season again?

Not really, as both can defend adequately IMO.

It isn't together, you have good players but together they just didn't play well and you conceded a lot of goals.
Vermaelen is one of the best and Kos and Djh are good defenders but im just saying that this year they were poor together and that can be seen in the amount of goals you conceded.

You have to remember we also played all our goalies at one point or another as well. We even had to borrow Lehman at one point.

That sort of change isn't going to help the back four.

I'm not sure we'll get someone tbh.

There were some glaring errors last year, mostly in high profile games, but we conceeded less goals than anyone outside of the top 4. Some of those you would have to say were terrible goal-keeping errors as well.

We need to defend better from corners clearly but I'm not sure if Wenger will spend 10-20mil to rectify that. Maybe Vermaelen being fit again will help. Maybe some better coaching would help. :)

Ye and he impressed in most of those 5 performances, and i watched ALL our games last season as im a villa fan, so dont try and say you know more about my own team.

Everybody wanted Albrighton to start but as we were in a relegation battle Gerard Houllier didnt want to take the risk and wanted experience to get us out of the relegation battle which to be fair you cant blame him for.

ps: on the popularity contest im sure it warms your fuzzy heart to know that people who don't know you in real life like you;)

Well here some more likely * edit * reports for us, Aquilani + Cash for Lennon, Imo Forget getting Adam and give Aquilani a chance.

Also “Stewy has made up his mind – he wants to go to Liverpool and hopes Villa will agree to let him leave,” a friend of Downing’s told the Sun. Claims he will hand in a transfer quest this week

So it was Some one in Suns office having a coffee break i guess.

I dont particularly want Downing, mind you, I dont particularly want Aquilani or Adam either :D

(or Lennon come to think of it :) )

Yet you're quite happy thinking you know more about United's players than me? You're a proper WUM aren't ya :o

Regardless of whether you lot wanted Albrighton to start the games he didn't so my fact about him barely being involved in the second half of the season/once Bent was signed holds true (a fact you debated) as the facts prove.

And no I couldn't care less if people on an internet forum like me or not, it's nice to know I'm not alone in thinking you're an fool though ;)
