game scales really good on most of the hardware i get in max settings around 120 fps constantly drops a bit if there is big fights.

I just checked your hardware, I suppose there's little wonder its running well on your setup. Saint's Row 3 currently runs bad on my system. I guess I am starting to pay the price of playing only older games.

I don't think they will use cows again, but maybe. you can bet there will be secret levels though.

i hope uber tristam makes an appearance again.

Even if they tell us "There is no cow level" I'm not going to believe them for a minute. :p

It runs better than SR3 for me. I wouldn't give up hope yet. :)

For someone that has never played, or at least doesn't remember playing Diablo, what's with all the hype over this game?

Forgive me but from what I can tell it's just a click-fest?

/don't lynch me, genuine question!

It's a fair question, considering people still play D2 today over 10 years after it's release.

Take the loot mechanic from any MMO and grind it down to the simplest form and you have Diablo. That's the hook, constant improvement of gear allowing you to be more powerful and kill scarier things quicker.

Then factor in fun classes with varied skills and millions of build combo's on top of amazing atmosphere and Blizzards level of polish.

Blizzard and Valve are the two developers you know will support their games as well, so people buying D3 now know full well they will probably be playing it in another 5-10 years and it will still be active.

Saying theres a million combo's really doesn't mean a great deal when 99% of them are absolute trash or simply cannot handle things.

Take the D2 Sorc. It had a load of skills for each element but you never used anything but Meteor, Hydra, Frozen Orb or Charged Bolt and everything else was to amp those skills up. You could do other things but they were never good enough to get you by once the going got tough. So if this works by not allowing you to dump skill points into 1 skill it should make things a little more interesting but it could also backfire. Would need to play it to know really ><

For me, it's more the lore, story and the co-op aspect. It's a dungeon crawler, pretty old school mechanics. Should be good fun.

I always found it to be the other way round, the itemisation in D2 was much more in depth than most MMOs.

The game is out in 6 weeks, I don't know why everyone is still so keen on trying the beta, unless you were on the fence about actually buying the game and wanted a trial first.

Personally I'm on the fence (though leaning towards buying). If I could try the beta I'd be more likely to stump up the cash for a pre-order. I think the £45 price tag on the battle.net site has put me off, even though you can easily get it cheaper elsewhere. Weird how the mind works :p
