Quit Newcastle (billionaires on my game) for athletic Bilbao as they are also billionaires but I saw it as a chance to win a different league, turns out I can only have Spanish players under 17 or player associated with Bilbao..... what a waste of time it was joining them. the only decent players I can get is llorente who is 32 or azpilicueta who had a 60million price tag.

I think that they can only sign Basque players which is kind of ridiculous, I tried a game with them as well but found it too difficult.
 
I found it a challenge and loved it, quite easy after a while as you can't wheel and deal so you really have to work in the background on your youth, scouts and coaches.

To not know that Bilbao only have Basque players is a bit poor on your part it has been well documented for many many many years now, you can search for Basque players and it should bring up some French players as well(due to there being a Basque region where Bixente Lizarazu came from - Labourd)
 
Starting my fourth season as Liverpool and Managed to get Ibrahimovich on a free, has so far scored 7 goals in 8 games and is keeping Suarez out the team. Kyriakos Papadopoulos hasn't been the marque singing I thought he would be, brought him for £25 Mill and so far he has been sent off twice including his debut and injured for a month.
 
Spurs have been playing games.

They offered me Gareth Bale (aged 30) and accepted bids from other clubs of £16.5m. I tried offering the same but they came back to me saying they want £19m. I tried negotiating but they won't budge from £19m with me.

He went to Bayern Munich in the end.

If I had to recommend one player as a 'must buy', it's Stanisa Plavsic. I tend to play him as a ball winning midfielder (support) but he's pretty adaptable.

Yep. Each person's game gets regens but you'll get regens no-one else will because their names, attributes, potential, nationality, position etc will be different. :)

I always thought the same ones were hidden away in everyone's somewhere.

All this time I've been playing FM and I didn't know that.
 
I'm annoyed now.
A 16 year old defender was brought into my youth, so I gave him a contract as he was pretty impressive.
Man UTD just offered him a contract right under my nose.

I'm pretty fuming :(

HE WAS MY PLAYER!

Just reloaded my game and then I've offered him a contract, although I already offered him one he signed :confused:

Muhahaha. That's how I play my game ;) I'm the best team in Europe now and I can poach as I see fit. I offer these younglings contracts the day they appear but sometimes they don't jump ship immediately. Which is weird really considering I offer them £5k per week or thereabouts and they accept £55 per week instead lol..
 
He's not bad I guess for a defender, I haven't played since I reloaded my game like :p
18 determination, 15 strength, 15 tackling.
That's him at 16.

Only problem is I've lost about 2 months of gameplay saving him :p He'd gotten a little bit better by then too, 15 pace etc.
All the decent players I brought into the team, upgrading my scouting etc :(

Yeah when they move to a new stadium the game picks a legend from the information screen and names it after them, Burton named one after me in FM12 :cool: Bishops Stortford will do the same in this game eventually...
 
Haha! That's awesome, might have to dig about for the screen shot of my Burton Albion one...

I wish there was a tacky theme hospital style unveiling of my statue outside of the Vally in this one though
 
Seeing as we're building a new stadium in real life, I might petition to have it named after me... seeing as I did take them up to the EPL.

Haven't really been playing much over the past week or so, getting very frustrated with the lack of genuinely strong regens. They're all bang average in the save and also the quality of players are dropping. For example, I bought a player from a French team when I was at Stockport at age 18. By 24 he was a World Class midfielder and worth around £30m with a five star rating. Now he's worth £14.75 and is three stars!

I'm still yet to see a club have a transfer offer turned down by the receiving club. The game is 25 seasons old and not one transfer bid rejected... hmmm.
