Final Fantasy XIV - A Realm Reborn

Installed from disc (7.6GB) and just about to log on but now it's downloading another 3.6GB. Good job I've got fibre, hopefully I'll be creating a character on Odin in minutes few, just enough time to make a brew.
 
Hoping my crashing problem will be fixed now, memory needed to be reseated (guess it came loose when I moved my PC the other day).

Connection loss issue seems to have been fixed by rebooting my Virgin Media super hub, worth trying if you're having that problem too. I was getting lag and connection loss after 15-45 minutes with VM 120mb.

Managed to create a character on Odin now.
Odin - Jasseh Ocuk - Marauder level 12
Cerberus - Jasseh Molkoh - Thaumaturge level 11

Managed to make my character, log in and get past the intro. However, worse than a server error the Mrs came home early from work and demanded my attention :D I'm plying her with alcohol as we speak so I may get an hour or so later on when she falls asleep.

Made an archer - Eltaran Nizar (Odin)
 
Been hammering this game for the last 3 evenings, very impressed. Story quest at level 19-20 is sooooo tedious though, just wanted to log out! Got through it though and am thoroughly enjoying it again :)

Got to level 26 and now its time to actually venture past my front door for reasons other than work.
 
Oh dear, after hearing so much positive feedback about ff14 I think I will give this game a go. Is there an ocuk guild and which server are we all chilllin at

I think most are on Odin, I have a character on Odin and Cerberus.


Who do I contact about joining the Free Company/Linkshell on Odin? (level 15 Marauder now, Jasseh Ocuk)

I must just keep missing you or something :p I've been trying to add you but it gives me that "Cannot find Tom Brady" message so assuming you're just on at different times to me. I made everyone who I could a Leader in the Linkshell so hopefully someone can hook you up with an invite when I'm not on!
 
I got in! :)

I was in Limsa doing some Armoursmithing (as one does)... and I found one of the guys in the FC, so I messaged him - Added me to the LS too !

Now you shall never escape the Tom Brady!

Think i'm only like level 14 on this character at the moment, enjoying it quite a lot! :)

That was I! I'll be around a lot of today semi-AFK crafting as well, so if anyone wants an FC or a linkshell for OcUKers on Odin hit me a tell: Lithon Thorlean, and I'll add you when I see it!

The very chap indeed! :)

Seems like a friendly bunch in the guild as well - I'll be online a bit more this week, so hopefully start progressing through the story a little more!
