Thanks for the guide Panos.
The 4820 is very good. You will enjoy it. I love my X79 system, I have to say. Really chews through all my encoding.
Yep. Thanks.
Tbh I do not see the point to the argument that "X79 is more expensive get 4770K because boards are cheaper"
The MSI GD45 Plus goes for as much as the avg Z87 board, the 4820K can be found (retail kit) for less than a 4770K, and 8GB DDR3 2400 in quad channel kit (4 x 2GB) cost as much as 8GB DDR3 2400 dual channel.
And there is a list of little good points that make a big difference when you compare the systems.
And that is going to be my second Intel ever.

Since 1993 used AMD (386dx40, 486dx80, K5, K6, K6-2, Athlon Tbird 1000, Athlon XP2200, Athlon MP2500+ , T1090, FX8350).
The only gap was between 2007-2011 when I had the Q6600 (between MP2500 and T1090).
Do not get me wrong. I am happy with the FX8350-7950 combo, however given that the offer is pretty good, I would be a fool not to accept.
And I get the 780, because it doesn't feel right not being able to use the 3d Vision kit, that has served me well since 2011.
