ISIS and Islamic militants - discussion

You people are nuts ?

Do you not see the pattern????

1950s-1980s it was Russia
1990s it was Saddam
2000s it was Osama
2010s its Gaddafi and now ISIS .

Go figure! We always need an enemy, only way to keep the money flowing yo! ;)

The military industrial complex will keep you afraid of something forever.
That's just the way it is and not you or I can do one thing about it.

Clown circus stuff, you get the idea! :p
going all the way back to ww1 there was a cultural belief that war was good for nations.

so much war in the time since it must be true

although I reckon the benefits are for the people in charge who can easily manipulate public feeling and get them on side through various propaganda means.

But non Muslims aren't nipping over to Syria are they.

Because it is a two fold thing - you know the part you quote where I labelled it ... 1) and ... 2)

So why are Muslims killing Muslims, if I am angry with the police for example I don't take that anger out on my neighbour. ;)

Err, because plenty of Muslims don't like the actions of ISIS and want to stop them.

It seems to me to be an issue of the 2nd gen Muslims who have grown-up in the cushy west, yet still on a diet of romanticised Islam from their parents. The 1st gen Muslims have seen Islam in power first hand and came here for a better life. But when the spoiled 2nd gen start hitting that “I’m so hard-done-by and nobody understands me” phase that most young people go through to one degree or another, they start falling back on Islam and some of them are seeing ISIS as the Muslim version of the rebel alliance from Star Wars.

Spot on. The 1st gens came here for a bloody good reason!

You could also have mentioned when the Berlin Wall came down and the Soviet Empire collapsed. Glasnost and working with the West. Everybody talking about the 'peace dividend', spending much less on arms.

Cue America starting to criticise China and anything China does but cannot escalate too much as China holds a very large amount of American debt.

Despite Russia and NATO having joint exercises America puts missiles in old Soviet Bloc countries on the pretext of defence against some mid eastern group launching a missile against America.

The American defence budget is massive and any reduction and the military industrial complex gets their paid politicians and media to argue for arming against some new perceived threat.

Need a war. Let's invade Iraq because they have WMD. All the BS that has followed is due to those decisions. Cameron and the French PM are responsible for the mess in Libya and the ease with which illegals are now arriving in Italy from that country.

Because people dont like to admit the problem is Islam, its much easier and to look cool to your mates to say, ARREST BUSH AND BLAIR HUUUUERPDEEERP

A man walks into a church in iraq and blows himself up. - That's blairs fault didn't you know!

If only everything in life was that easy you could describe half the world's problems in a single sentence..

Unfortunately that is the problem though isn't it. Quite a lot of people tend to think they can neatly encapsulate problems into quite discrete boxes of causation or conversely remove them.

Yup, humans like seeing everything in terms of black and white. It's the easy and lazy way out. To a degree we are all guilty of it.

All people in power have been saying the last 5 year or especially since the Syrian problem about people going over there to join ISIS or whatever is we need to have a discussion, we need to communicate within the local communities here and solve the problem at it's root...

Well 5 year on, what is this magical discussion and what is being communicated within communities?

None the wiser after all this time, 178 pages on here proves that no one has a clue and it's one of those things that just comes around and will hopefully fade out, like a phase or a bratty child.

Nothing can be done to please everyone.

I may be missing something but aren't these types the exact blight that we want to remove from our country? We should be thanking ISIS for attracting muslim-nuts from everywhere, I can't see a downside. Let them go upon surrender of passport.

So you can't see a downside to genocide and the mass subjugation of people with the corresponding population movements that are leading to the mass immigration problems you appear to not want.

Well then you quite clearly don't think things through very deeply then do you.

lol - while I guess someone similar looking could use their passport to get into this country - it is a bit pointless collecting a suicide bombers passport on the way out heh.
