I'm finding the bike a bit harsh on the back end on bumpy roads after lowering the ride height a bit, what should I adjust?
Less compression damping? I've been playing with mine (suspension!) and have softened it off a load from standard, feels much better.
Edit: Also managed to get 139 miles on a tank, squeezed 17 litres in (really was about 16.8), the fuel light came on at 104 miles, so that was 35 miles on reserve and (maybe) a litre left?
How can you only be getting 35mpg from a 600 Honda? Are they that bad for fuel around town? Raise the ride height again, it always ruins handling.
Don't forget she is 20 years old mate
Carbs and a steel frame don't really help. She does need the carbs balancing though
mind you, being light and a 400cc, and being able to pootle through towns at 30mph in 6th gear do help the fuel economy somewhat!

That makes getting 35-40mpg from the Tuono seem pretty good now!

My CB400 is 15 years old, 40k + on the clock![]()

Most engines are shocking with short journeys. Mine used to be 110 from 15litres when I was just going 2.5miles each way to work. Now I get 145miles doing longer 20miles each way.
Having to fill up every 3.5 trips is annoying as hell mind![]()
I like to fill up at the BP 500m from my house, the 3 petrol stations on my route are all more expensive, but that 6th day would take it to 210 miles, on a 18 litre tank, which at 55mpg is dead on running dry. I have gotten 18 litres in before, I seem to remember that was when the bike was probably 200m away from dying from no fuel!
