**Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Thread**

I'll probably skip any new high end GPU's, nothing interesting i want to play out atm that would even benefit from it anyways. 980Ti does more than i need.

I'll upgrade when some Source 2 games start releasing built from the ground up. Maybe pricing will get more decent then if the pound strengthens too :)

totally agree, if you have a 980TI no need to upgrade yet. I fully expect you're looking at another 2 years before you will notice anything slowing down. Unless you play in 4k :)

Even at 120+Hz can't see myself moving to 4K for my main monitor ever - I have a 4K 60Hz monitor and just don't find a setup where I can both move my mouse over large distances quickly and retain per pixel precision for smaller movement (without using acceleration which is just nasty).

Still not sure what to do if/when this 1080ti comes out. Still running my 980ti which I have had since they were released and still doing a good job. The new 4k HDR 120hz refresh (cant remember) sounds amazing and I know the 980ti will not be up to the job.

Biggest concern is the cost of new cards due to exchange rate and nvidia taking us for a ride! The price of the 1080's are just beyond stupid for the performance and these will be at least £600-700 so it's good chunk to spend on say a 30-40% performance gain.

Whats the latest news on Volta ? heard anything yet ? what sort of performance gains and release date are being estimated ?

Tempted to get rid of my fury x in favour of a 1080 or Ti because my 1070 seems to be smashing it in VR, seems pointless though because they haven't even optimised properly yet and most software doesn't struggle at all on the 1070.
