Xbox Scorpio

Was there not only one game for the xbox one x where it was specifically stated 4k @ 60 fps i.e. forza? So in other words all the other titles that didn't mention 60 fps are more than likely running at 30fps?

Yup, Crackdown 3 will be 2160p30 for one.

Hehehe. Well spotted.

In fact, Eurogamer state that it is a "technical masterpiece" despite being locked to 30 fps.

So surely the Sony faithful here must agree that there is nothing wrong with 30fps.

Oh no, of course, it's not a PlayStation so it must be rubbish, the much higher resolution suddenly not important despite the past years being filled with "omg so blurry on X1 like it's been smeared with Vaseline!", and anything less than 60fps unplayable.

You couldn't make it up.

Well yeah it's not like console users have much choice for FPS i.e. most games are all locked to 30 FPS :p Even on the ps 4 pro....

But as said, HZD is stunning looking

Personally I wish more games on the console would give the choice like rise of the tomb raider i.e. 30 fps and max IQ or 60 fps with lesser IQ, for me, FPS greater than graphics, especially action/FPS games, it's the main reason I still stick with PC atm.

i think as Microsoft "Play Anywhere" becomes the norm for more 3rd party titles an XBox will make increasing sense for PC gamers to compliment the PC when you want to play your games from the couch on the TV without having to re buy them.

Very much this. Ive been buying solely for the PC for the past year and yet I has gathered quite a collection of crooss play games

Very true. Its the same with GPU's as well. Its all about power/heat/price/performance while your chosen card is ahead on one of those and then it isnt when they are not :D

As a console the Xbox One X is a nice piece of kit but it's expensive and Microsoft still have no AAA exclusives outside of another Forza game. I almost fell asleep during their conference of indie titles..

The Xbone X is great as an upgrade for current Xbone owners I'm not sure it makes sense for anyone else though?

It would be nice if it did what it said on the tin. By that I mean on RotTR

1) 4K 30fps mode is very noticeable as it gets rid of all the shimmer on foliage but it crashes my PS4 Pro
2) 1080p30 with additional graphics features - I can't tell the difference whatsoever
3) 1080p unlocked frame rate - average 45fps according to Digital Foundry

Ah didn't realise there were those issues :(

Saying that, rise of the tomb raider isn't exactly a well optimised title on the PC either so maybe other developers/games could do better in the future....

Yeah it is a bit annoying to have some games 30 frames and other 60. A good selling point to me personally would be to disable some graphics features to achieve a higher frame rate if desired.

As lets face it 4k on any settings looks stunning either way.

I wonder what the Scorpio's UI will be like. There was talk of it using Microsoft's new interface called Project Neon with fancy graphics and animations. It'd be a pity if it was the boring black, plain text style of the current Xbone.

I didn't think the Xbox UI was too bad personally, I prefer it over the PS4's.

i prefer xbox UI over Ps4, everything really easy to use :)

always change from boring black :D

Ok, £250 left for CPU, RAM, mobo, bluray drive, HDD and PSU.

Go! :p

Exactly, you can't even physically build a PC that can mirror what the X can do without getting rinsed.

Someone spec me a PC UHD drive, how much are they? Can you even buy them in the UK yet?

I am primarily an Xbox gamer with a One S in the man cave and a One in the living room. Usually I would be all over a new release but not so much this time. I have a PC it is not the best spec and the GPU is left over from my last build a few years back.

I have stopped playing online and prefer a simple hour here hour there type game. I think the only exclusive I would miss is Gears.

What would I have to do to my PC to get it to the same graphics as the Xbox One X. PC in Sig
