US: **The Walking Dead Season 8 - Contains Spoilers - No future content to be discussed **

Cos the bites kill, season 1 showed that with the mechanic type guy with the red cap.

yes but in an earlier season there were people who had turned and not been bitten and there were zombies with spinning eyes. i'll be honest, they probably explained both but i'm that disinterested in the show now i've probably forgotten

If you get bitten, you go all feverish and then die. When you die, no matter how you die (unless headshot) you will then turn...

Killing Carl off has been a bit daft, there’s pretty much no reason for Rick to still be around now. Same with Maggie now that Glenn isn’t around.

Slowly but surely they’re killing this series.

Nice, all be it drawn out tribute to Coral. Read somewhere he'd basically been written out of the show out of the blue, so felt kinda bad for the guy. Really wish they'd stop with the random time jump scenes, it adds nothing but confusion.

So I wasn't the only one, he may have been in it from the start but at this stage in the series long drawn out scenes like this just don't fit.

I was thinking just the opposite.

The past couple of seasons where there has been "more action" and less dialog, have not been as good by a country mile. That may be because most of the fight/battle scenes have not been as convincing or intense as in the past. But I find the relentless every episode needs a fight scene takes away from the story not adds to it. This has without doubt been the worst season so far. That said t I just re-watched the season to remind me where it had all come to before the second half started. Second time through it wasn't anything like as bad as I thought it was. I think because I'd already watched it through so I'd already pieced together all the jumps in time and location so it was far less disjointed than the first run through. I have no idea what they were thinking killing Carl off. I don't think it happens in the books, and after season, after season where Carl has been dull as dishwater, his character was just starting to grow. It would have made far more sense for him to survive and bring new hope to the story line.

I still find the rubbish that the rag n bone folk speak just nonsense.

The trouble with recent seasons is you have too many episodes with pointless dialogue and even when there are big gunfights it's just fighting for the sake of fighting and nothing really changes. They could have killed Karl off in 5mins if they had any sort of decent storyline but instead you get a 1hr 15mins episode dedicated to his death.

I sort of agree, I don't mind the dialogue so long as it develops a character, drives the story forwards or builds the tension to an event. This last season has been littered skirmishes that have been poorly executed, that were not in any way convincing, and haven't really added anything to the plot. I quite enjoyed the dialogue between Carol and KE in the garden as it was revealed why he had the tiger and where he had come from. Simple story telling really.

But there have been far too many conversations that have just been padding. I enjoy Jeffrey Dean Morgan's portrayal of "Negan" but other than being a crazed sociopath we know nothing about him at all, he literally is the comic book villain. I suspect we are being deliberately short changed with some characters as the money making spin off series are gaining popularity. From what I've read yet another "Walking Dead, something or other" is in the pipe-line. I still watch it, it's not as good as it was in the beginning but there are far worse shows being churned out. I don't mind giving it 50mins a week.

Skipped half the episode, so many pointless bits. Nothing happened as is the norm these days. What’s the point?
