I'm not expecting the extra heat and power draw on Zen2 to be as bad as it is with Intel, although only time will tell.

I think you should be ok. It doesn’t look like the A320 boards are getting support for Zen 2. But worth checking your exact board on the manufacturers website.

Anyway, according to someone on Chiphell with access to 3600 ES, it has 6.3% higher FPS than i7-8700 in PUBG (183fps vs 172fps) when paired with 2080ti.

Ryan Shrout has been using Cinebench as the de-facto go to benchmark in all the years where Intel was winning, now that Intel are not winning he wants to argue that its not realistic.

Any word on the AVX performance for Ryzen 3000? I've heard that compared to Intel it's always been subpar on AMD CPUs, and would definitely hold me back from making the switch it was still an issue.

We all know that the answer to the question is no. We simply need to check the slides where Intel claim 18% IPC increase for Sunny Cove to see that; it has one footnote, and it states that it isn't using all known security patches.

I've always been confused by people saying Cinebench R20 uses AVX. I currently have an AVX offset of 4 on my system however whenever I do a Cinebench run the clockspeed stays normal, however if I start doing some H264 encoding the offset kicks in.

It doesn't really use AVX2 all that much, is why, I certainly don't think it uses AVX 512 even though it states the support.

single speed 4.6ghz, all core boost 4.3ghz for 8700 , believe non K 9900 is 5ghz and 4.5 all core
