** NEW SAMSUNG ODYSSEY G7/G9 MONITORS 27-49" AVAILABLE TO PRE-ORDER **

Anyone with the G7 use it alongside a second non-curved monitor? I did for a while and it made my non-curved monitor distort when I looked back and forth between them. Anyone else had this and seen it subside over time?

I find my 43 non curved monitor looks so strange if I have been using my curved monitor for a while. Its like my head thinks it should also be curved.

I find large flat panels strange atm

For sure but after a bit of use your eyes get used to the flat format again :)

Mine arrived today after I asked for it to be delivered Thursday (not from OC). Delivery guy said they had a fair few to deliver today, so I think there will be lots of happy people around the country.

Not going to get to open till later, but excited!

As an update, I had ordered from elsewhere yesterday morning at 9am, thinking I was receiving today. Order didn't update all yesterday day. Called the selling firm, "stock error on system" so order was cancelled. If you have ordered from this place, you may be in the same boat.

Despite everything that has gone on with these monitors, I am still exited for mine. It will be my first ultra wide display and my first monitor over 60hz. I currently run Samsung 28in monitors at 4k so ill have to get used to the lack of pixels but I'm sure it will be worth it :D

Same here....40" Samsung tv/monitor looks convex after a gaming session :)

G9 arrived this morning. No dead pixels - great. It does have about 1 inch of light bleed though which sucks..

I get the flicker issue with the gif thats been floating around, and its the 01 version.

What settings / updates etc have people seen around to stop or minimise flicker? I've updated the firmware already.

Got mine all setup. Looks the nuts! Coming from a 24inch 1080p its astounding. Not really tested anything yet but cant see any bezel issues. So far so good.

Will be sending mine back and hoping for a QA'd replacement.

Just tried that link and I get flicker, is that a known issue?

Some annoying issues with HDR, I get clipping if I play HDR and 240hz but it's a lot better when at 120hz. My 5700XT also has an annoying issue of raised blacks which doesn't help either.

Anyway, I'm hoping for a great replacement as it's a jaw dropping screen - when it works as intended!

Hi, it is a known issue. For me it happens whatever I have the monitor set to. I can't remember if thats the case for everyone though - and I'd have thought (in theory) it could be fixed by driver or firmware but who knows...

Not really. About one second in its like the brightness just raises a little but it doesn't flicker as such but that might be personal perspective? It just changes once is that it? Tried turning off the dynamic brightness but its still there. Adaptive Sync doesn't effect it either. Still on the original firmware, thats next to be done. .

I think thats what people mean by "flicker" - the brightness goes up and down for the whole screen... see if it changes when you upgrade firmware. Mine came with 1004 out of the box, updated it to 1005.4

Not quite so important but my infinity lighting doesn't seem to want to come on! It was off on the setting initially but turning on in the menu does nothing. Not that bothered its against a wall anyway

I think it would need a fw update to fix it. Also just tried every setting and it doesn't eradicate it.

I'm on 1005.4

Haven't even turned it on! I use Philips Hue Play anyway, great ambient lighting.

For the firmware update. I have extracted the img file is it that you rename to a bin or the whole zip?

Many thanks

EDIT: Scrub that I read the instructions... !

You do not rename anything, there is a small 1 page instructions manual PDF to tell you how to update the FW (hit the SEE MORE button) on the same page you got the FW and the monitor driver (you should have this too).
